Matthew Best addressed Falmouth City Council members at the November 10 meeting. He alleges that Mayor Elonda Hinson used city funds to pay a personal attorney fee.

Mayor’s attorney fees questioned

Citizen Matthew Best requested to approach council at the end of the city council meeting on November 10, 2015. He stated that he had opened an investigation into the city’s assets and that investigation had ended two weeks prior. Best stated that his investigation found a check for $3763 written by Elonda Hinson and signed by Councilwoman Mary Ann Shields that had been written to Ziegler and Schneider Law Firm.
