KRT announces new website and shows

Spring not only brings warmer weather and blooming flowers, it also ushers in a new season of performances from Kincaid Regional Theatre (KRT) in Falmouth. In the renewing spirit of spring, KRT has debuted their new website. With a fresh look, complete with bright colors and vibrant production photos, the theatre hopes patrons will enjoy learning more about the performances being held. In addition, the site has simplified the process of purchasing tickets online. This update comes at a time when KRT is settling into their new ticketing system, called Vendini. Replacing ShowTix at the end of 2015, Vendini allows KRT to work more efficiently with dynamic and modern online calendars and marketing tools. Patrons will still be able to purchase walk-up tickets before performances at the box office on Chapel Street and over the phone by calling 859-654-2636. KRT welcomes you to explore and enjoy their new website at www.krtshows.com.

KRT is excited to share its 2016 summer season! This July, they will present “Footloose, The Musical.” This is the theatre’s 33rd annual main stage production. “Footloose” will be directed by Joe Bertucci from Campbell County High School Drama with choreography by Elizabeth VandeWater and music direction by Allison McElfresh Colvin. This marks the theatre’s fifth season of collaboration with this successful production team. “Footloose” tells the tale of Ren, a teenager from Chicago that moves to Bomont, a small farming town with tight restrictions on local teenagers, including a ban on public dancing. This ban doesn’t sit well with Ren so he sets out with other young people to change life in the town. Made explosively popular by two Hollywood films, “Footloose” will come to life July 9-31 on the KRT stage. More information can be found on their website under the “2016 Season” tab.
