Falmouth City Clerk responds to tax rate

The members of the Falmouth City Council along with the mayor recently set the city's tax rate this year at the compensating rate plus four percent. This was a very hard decision that was not taken lightly or without due consideration for every taxpayer of Falmouth. While understanding the difficulties our city faces and the uncertain economic climate that we all face. I felt it was necessary as the city clerk to give an explanation as to why members of council and the mayor had to do what they did.
