England honored for years of service

An appreciation reception was held for Terry England on Saturday, June 4 at the Farm Bureau Building in Falmouth. Over 100 people including family, friends, and former co-workers, showed up for the long overdue event to honor and thank the former city clerk for his 28 years of dedicated service to the City of Falmouth. It was a wonderful afternoon of dining and fellowship for all who attended.

"It was very nice and very humbling," expressed England. "I didn't think I had made such an impact on the city and so many people's lives during my career. I really appreciate the outpouring of love and gratitude from the community. It was very, very nice."

England served as city clerk from February 1988 until October of 2015. During his career, he served under seven mayors and worked alongside 29 different council members. He had only 60 days before his retirement when his career was abruptly ended.
