Greetings friends, it was good to be in the house of the Lord this first Sunday in Lent. Pastor Ron spoke to us from Genesis 9:8-17,concerning the one sided covenant that God made to all mankind and animals. Promising to never send a worldwide flood upon the earth again. God will not be mocked, the rainbow is His sign of remembrance to us.

Looking ahead: March 3, pot luck and board meeting; March 15 women’s meeting; March 29 Pendleton County Good Friday service at 1 p.m. at Falmouth Baptist Church; March 24 Palm Sunday; and March 31 Easter Sunday!

Please pray with us for Butch Caldwell, Jim Kyle, Mona Judy, Lincoln’s gramma, Sara Mullins, the Houchen family, Katie Wright, Barry, Curt Taylor, Patti and Bobby Jenkins, and Dorothy Taylor.

Bro. Mark’s message was from Matthew 8:5-10.

All the healings done in the past Jesus was present. When Jesus arrived in Capernaum, a Roman solider came and pled with him to heal his servant boy who was at home and paralyzed.  Jesus said yes I will come to your home and heal him.  If you could only stand here and say be healed.  I know you have the authority to tell his sickness to go and it will go.  Jesus turned to the crowd and said, I haven’t seen “FAITH” like this in all the land of Israel.

We as a church want to ask you for a special prayer for our beloved pastor’s wife

Darla.  She has been dealing with some health issues.  God will hear those prayers.  We have “FAITH” just as the soldier did.

I know I say it often, but I must repeat myself, if you aren’t in Sunday School you should be. It’s such an extraordinary time of small group bible study. It’s a group of people all there for the same reason, to study God’s word, to pray for people and to ask for prayers.

In morning worship, the children’s message, You Must Be Born Again, was from John 3:1-17. Each baby is born innocent, but as they grow they learn the things they should and shouldn’t do-that is where sin begins, but God sent his only son to die on the cross for our sins, but we must be born again by placing our faith in Jesus Christ.

Emily Best read scripture, I Peter 1:3-5 followed by the Praise team special, Beautiful Things. Bro. Dale’s message, You Are Beautiful, came from Ecclesiastes 3:11 “He has made everything beautiful in its time…”.
