NorthKey Community Care’s ADT held the 12th Annual Neal Russell Awards Luncheon on February 10, 2017. The Neal Russell Outstanding Citizenship Award is presented each year to an employee who has exhibited positive characteristics such as being helpful, kind, and considerate to others.

Mary Pettit was recently selected to fill a new job description with the Pendleton County Champions Coalition. This grant-funded position makes her the new Drug Free Communities Project Coordinator.

Amy Hitch is one of several newly elected Falmouth City Council members. She moved to Falmouth from Campbell County where she graduated from Campbell County High School in 1990. From there she went to Northern Kentucky University, majoring in Liberal Arts, History/English. She graduated in 1996 with her bachelor’s degree.

The ongoing issue concerning the sale of the Falmouth School Center appears to be at an end. The Pendleton County Board of Education has accepted the highest bid from NFTL, a non-profit from Cincinnati, Ohio. This has left many people wondering about the future plans of Kincaid Regional Theatre.

At a special called meeting of the Pendleton County School Board on February 8, 2017 members of the Board, Superintendent Anthony Strong and Attorney Matt DeMarcus met to discuss the terms of an agreement to sell the Falmouth School Center (FSC).

The ongoing issue concerning the sale of the Falmouth School Center appears to be at an end. The Pendleton County Board of Education has accepted the highest bid from NFTL, a non-profit from Cincinnati, Ohio. This has left many people wondering about the future plans of Kincaid Regional Theatre.

The Pendleton County Tourism Council (PCTC) recently setup shop at the 60th Annual Cincinnati Travel, Sports & Boat Show January 13-22 at the Cincinnati Duke Energy Center. The show, which spanned eight days of volunteer shifts brought hundreds of people looking for adventure tourism and day trip opportunities.

In what would be an agreement between Pendleton County and the City of Butler that could lower flood insurance costs for its residents, Mayor Greg McElfresh proposed that Brian Thompson, Pendleton County Zoning Administrator, be hired as flood coordinator at the Butler City Council meeting held February 6.
