It was a team effort between 78th District Representative Mark Hart, Judge Executive David Fields and the Pendleton County Fiscal Court Magistrates to honor one of Pendleton County's finest citizens, Nate Jones.

A portion of Hwy 17 that Jones grew up on will be named in his honor with the sign noting the honor.

The convicted felon brandishing a firearm seemed to  know that his arrest would send him back to jail. Alvin Hamilton stood in the doorway of his trailer on 800 Woodson Street and told the law enforcement officers facing him with weapons drawn he did not want to go back to jail and for them to shoot and kill him.

The “N” does not stand for anything, but when you pair it with Talbert and Turner it becomes TNT, a nickname that summed up nicely the explosive scoring of Talbert N. Turner, Jr.

David Bay and his family has a long tradition in investing in Pendleton County with successful businesses.

After an opening week highlighted by an offensive explosion from Senior Dontaie Allen, the stats have been updated, and he is zeroing in on 3,000 points and then Wildcat all-time leading scorer, Talbert Turner, Jr.
Allen had games of 52, 53 and 25 points while the Cats went 2-1 to start the season.

For the recent crowd who has been following the Wildcat soccer success, Aaron Harper is known as the head coach of the Pendleton County High School boys’ soccer team that won their fourth consecutive 38th District title.
