When a person looks to who is the greatest of all time in any sport at any level, one trait will always stand out. It is their work ethic.

For Conner Harper, his work ethic has led him to be the highest scoring Wildcat Soccer player in the program’s 30+ year history.

The issue was clear, the digging in of heels was apparent at the Special and Caucus meetings of Falmouth City Council on Tues. Oct 2, 2018. At issue during the special meeting was garbage collection, should it be contracted out to Rumpke or should the city buy a new truck, long overdue, and continue collecting the garbage itself.

A very emotionally charged special council meeting to discuss the privatization of trash services provided by the city had plot twists and turns throughout the evening. But the biggest occurred towards the ending of the special meeting.

While the focus of the season has been on the record-breaking offense of Senior Conner Harper, it was the Wildcat's defense that has shut down opponents and had the Wildcats claiming their fourth 38th District championship with 1-0 victories over Mason County in the first round and Harrison County in the championship game.

Henry Montoure was just a normal boy riding his bike up and down his street when a fateful bump changed all of that. The bump sent him flying over the handlebars of his bike and as he landed, the brake handle impaled him in the leg.

"I was in shock," Henry said about the moment he realized what had happened.

At a special meeting of City of Falmouth council before their regularly scheduled caucus meeting, the city council voted in a 4-2 vote to keep offering trash service ran by the city department instead of privatizing it via a bid from Rumpke.
