This past December the fabled New York Yankees selected former ESPN analyst and MLB All-Star Aaron Boone to don the pinstripes as their new skipper. For the Yankees, the transition from Joe Girardi was necessary to bring back a winning culture into the clubhouse.

The KHSAA held their regular Board of Control meeting in January in Lexington and among the many topics of discussion was a draft proposal to redistrict football across the state.

All City of Famouth Council members were present at the meeting along with Mayor Ron Stinson for the March 13, 2018 meeting.

Many in the community have made the incorrect assumption that the property commonly referred to as the “Fairgrounds” is owned by the Pendleton County Youth Fair Board. In reality, the property is owned by the Pendleton County Schools with some of the buildings owned by the fair board.

In an effort to create a seamless, collaborative effort to the growth of Pendleton County, a joint community form was held on Wed., March 14 at Sharp Middle School.

Ross Shively, of HighlandHills Holdings, LLC, w ho purchased the Falmouth School Center was present to introduce the community to concept of vertical farming.

For most of the first 90 minutes of the March 15 Pendleton County School Board meeting, the discussion among audience, board members and staff was about school safety and what the school district is presently doing and what they should be considering.
