Bernice Camidge, 54, returned home around lunch time to find the front of her family’s double wide on Ashlee Lane caved in. A tree that was a fixture in their front yard fell during the heavy thunderstorms slamming into the front of their home causing a great deal external damage.

Severe weather blew through Pendleton County early Friday afternoon and caused electric headaches for emergency crews, residents and Bluegrass and Owen County electric.

As the school year starts, all certified staff working at PCHS, Sharp Middle School, and both elementary schools will be participating in a poverty simulation in preparation for the 2018-19 school year.  

Showing livestock and swine is popular past time that’s long been ingrained in the Pendleton County DNA pool. For McKenzie McCoy, 18, showing livestock has been a way for her to push herself. A way for her to challenge her own standards of success. By all accounts, McCoy has been very successful.
