Pendleton County Historical Society meets Sept. 20

The September meeting of Pendleton County’s Historical Society will be held at 11 a.m., Sept. 20, 2014 at the Fryer House Museum.

After the business meeting a picnic lunch will be had with all attending. Bring your favorite food and an appetite for an enjoyable time to eat and share history.

Every member is also encouraged to bring a new member to this meeting. Members form strong building blocks for a stable organization. Membership applications are available to anyone on the website for new members and renewals.  Memberships are January-December. If you join late in the year, you’ll be given newsletters published since the beginning of January.

Good things continue to happen at the Historic Headquarters Building. Plan to attend and share your own historic interest. Some folks are interested in cemeteries, others are interested in family histories, and still more are interested in written documents and photographs. Bring your personal interest and share with members.

Regular meetings are the third Saturday of every month at 11 a.m. at the Fryer House.

Fryer House is located on the northeast corner at the intersection of KY 177 and U.S. 27 in Butler, Ky. across from Northern Elementary School. Plenty of free parking is available.
