Low-cost spay/neuter available

There is good news for Pendleton County dog owners!  Thanks to the financial support of Friends of the Shelter, residents of Pendleton County can have their dogs spayed or neutered for only $25. This low-cost fee includes a rabies vaccination and transport to and from the spay/neuter clinic.  Transportation will be scheduled one day each month.

This promotion is open to Pendleton County residents’ dogs only. Space is available only while funding lasts, and proof of residency (driver license, lease, utility bill, etc.) must be shown.  Appointments are required. To schedule an appointment, please call 513-721-7387.

“Pendleton County has been making great strides in reducing the number of unwanted litters of puppies entering the Pendleton County Animal Shelter through responsible pet ownership and spaying and neutering of dogs. This low-cost program will go a long way towards reducing those numbers even more by helping dog owners who may not otherwise be able to afford to have their pets altered,” says Janet Scanlon, Volunteer, Pendleton County Animal Shelter. Scanlon is a member of Friends of the Shelter and worked with them to secure the low-cost spay and neuter program for Pendleton County residents.
