“Savor the Flavor” during National Nutrition Month
March is National Nutrition Month and although only one month is given to raise awareness to eating right and healthy, everyone needs to practice eating and preparing their food in healthy manners everyday!
There are several ways of eating right and just to list a few, recommended by The Academy of Nutrition and Diabetics, are to eat breakfast, fix healthy snacks, be active, watch your portion size, and cut back on sugar.
At the Pendleton County Senior Center, they like to “Savor the Flavor” is by offering vouchers to Wyatt’s deli for one balanced meal per weekday that meets all nutritional needs for the day. Anyone who is 60 years or older can come to the Pendleton County Senior Center and qualify to receive these vouchers.

This is a year round program that the Senior Center would like every senior to take advantage of and support healthy eating habits.
So, let’s make March 2016, National Nutrition Month, the time to make the decision to eat healthy and eat right!
