Over the past 3-4 years, it seems that utilities has been a source of concern from the electric rates to renovating the sewer lines to trash services. What is your view of the city of Falmouth’s role in the utilities that it’s residents receive and where should be the focus in the next decade?
Utilities have become a true concern for all citizens residing in Falmouth.  From the extreme no warning increase for all services in 2018 and continued increases seen by citizens from the City.  The most recent, increase from the Consumer Price Index which is accessed every year in August.
Why do we need to continue to manage these entities as a city?  Do we really need the city to purchase our electric and increase the rates to citizens in order to keep the entity properly managed/funded with our own dollars?  Could direct purchase for citizens provide cheaper costs? How do these entities improve our city? They can only maintain themselves with continued increases to citizens for many decades to come. All these entities need researched and accessed. We have had sewage project in the works for years.
Focus should be increased on communication to citizens regarding services. Citizens should be provided with emergency contact number located on the monthly invoice; city hall is not open 24/7.
City of Falmouth should offer incentives for residential/commercial development and improvements in order to create growth and development for future generations.  Why would anyone choose to invest in City of Falmouth?
