BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING DISCUSSES ARMING TEACHERS
These three videos are from the April 24, 2018 meeting of the Pendleton County Board of Education where they heard presentations concerning schools safety and the possibility of arming staff members who volunteer for the POST program and go through training.
The first video includes the Good News section of the Board meeting where they recognize students and staff that have earned honors and/or awards as well as the presentation from Mark Filburn, Commissioner for the Ky. Department of Criminal Justice Training, on school safety.
The second video is the presentation from Joe Kalil, designer of the School POST program, which helps school districts setup a program to arm school staff that volunteer, are approved and complete the required training.
The third video is audience comments. There were two school employees who had comments, three individuals from outside of Pendleton County but none from residents within the county.
