The Pendleton County Ladycats picked up their third road win and fourth win overall with a 61-52 victory at Dayton on December 18.

Junior Kearstin Mayer scored 19 points, all of them in the second half of the game and grabbed five rebounds to lead the team to victory.   Sophomore Lilly Ashcraft put together a solid all-around performance with 12 points, 10 rebounds, five steals and four assists. This is Ashcraft’s first double-double of the season.  Freshman Hannah Spaulding added a double-double of her own by producing 10 points and 11 rebounds, her second of the season.  Junior Madison Verst knocked down a trio of three pointers to finish with nine points.

"A total team effort last night at Dayton. We're still working on making the right play at the right time and giving a consistent effort for four quarters. This was our second straight game with more than 30 team rebounds." Ladycats head coach Patrick Kelsch said following the victory.

Pendleton County began play in the Mike Bromagen Legends tournament at Bath County on December 21 against Elliott County. The Ladycats would fall 42-33 to the Lady Lions. Ashcraft had her second double-double of the week as she led Pendleton County with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Due to holiday press early deadline, results from the December 22 and 23 match ups will be found in our January 2 edition.
