Western Kentucky University redshirt senior Dontaie Allen put together the finest performance of his collegiate career when he scored a career high of 30 points in the Hilltoppers 105-91 win over Florida International on Jan. 25.

Allen made nine of 11 shots, including a perfect 7-7 from the free throw line and five three pointers in 33 minutes of action.

Through 20 games, Allen is averaging 8.2 points per game and shooting 40 percent from three point range. The Hilltoppers are currently 14-6 and have won seven of their last 10 games. So far, they are 9-0 at E.A. Diddle Arena.

"Dontaie does a good job of staying in the gym. Dontaie works hard, does the right things and deserves to be rewarded. As long as he sticks with it, he's going to continue to have his nights." said Western Kentucky head coach Steve Lutz following the game. The Hilltoppers have ten remaining regular season games until the Conference USA Tournament begins.
