The Pendleton County Wildcats Golf team hosted 14 other schools for this year's Pendleton County Invitational held at Pendleton Hills on July 24.

The turnout would be the largest number of participants in several years according to Wildcats head coach Clay Monroe. The event featured both team and individual play as Ryle High School emerged victorious in group play with an overall score of 302. Highlands finished second posting a collective score of 315. Pendleton County turned in a score of 374 as Bryant led with a 82 followed by Austin Kirsch with a 94, Abraham Beebe shooting a 97 and Aaron Kirsch totaling 101. Ayden Pugh also competed and finished with a 103.

Coach Monroe is optimistic about his team's potential as the roster is composed of numerous upperclassmen.
