The Pendleton County Wildcats Golf team is making its final prepared ahead of the upcoming regional tournament.

The team took over Bishop Brossart and Campbell County in match play last week and was able to notch a win over the Camels.

On August 28, the team hosted Brossart at Pendleton Hills and would lose in a nine-hole match. Wildcats senior Bryant Brown led the scoring as he carded a round of 42. Freshman Matthew Musk along with senior twins Austin and Aaron Kirsch all turned in rounds of 47, and senior Abraham Beebe finished with a 50.

On August 31, the team bounced back to score a 169-178 win over Campbell County at AJ Jolly Golf course. Brown once again led the way with a 37 and he would be followed by Austin Kirsch with a 42, Musk shooting a 44, Aaron Kirsch delivering a 46 and Beebe rounding out the scoring with a 48.

Following the victory, team head coach Clay Monroe explained that this performance was exactly what the team needed as the regular season winds down.

"Bryant Brown got into a groove and made lots of putts and Austin Kirsch played up to his potential. This was a good prep heading into the regional tournament which will be played on this course. We plan to get back out here again for some practice rounds before then," Monroe said.

Next up for the Wildcats will be another matchup with Campbell County, this time at Pendleton Hills. The program will also hold its annual "Senior Night" ceremony.
