PC Runners Advance to State at the KHSAA Region 4 Class A Meet

The PCHS Cross Country team competed at the KHSAA Region 4 Class 2A meet on Saturday, October 21st in Bourbon County. 

The Wildcat team placed fifth overall. The top four teams advance to the state finals. They were beaten by Covington Catholic, Bourbon County, Lexington Catholic, and Harrison County.

The Wildcats finished with an average time of 20:07, just missing out on going to state by less than nine seconds. There were 47 runners in the 5K race.  

Sophomore Klaber Wolfe ranked highest for the Wildcats. He placed 16th with a time of 18:37. Senior Evan Stewart placed 24th with a time of 19:27. Freshman Tanner Morris placed 33rd with a time of 20:26. Placing directly behind him was Junior Sam Hodge with a time of 20:29. Seventh grader, Levi Wolfe, placed 42nd with a time of 21:35.

Thirty-seven runners competed for the girls’ 5K.  For the Ladycats, seventh grader, Kara Bishop, placed 23rd with a time of 26:32.  Sophomore Aryanna Soden placed 31st with a time of 29:11. Also, competing for the Ladycats was sophomore Abby Wooten who placed 34th.

Klaber Wolfe and Kara Bishop advanced to compete individually at the KHSAA Cross Country State Championship at the KY Horse Park on October 28th in Lexington, KY. Wolfe says, “It was a very competitive race, and everyone gave their all. We only missed state as a team by 15 points. I didn’t set a personal record, but I am still very excited for state next week.” Congratulations to the PC Cross Country team on a great season.
