Ferne Lowe Colvin, 86, Falmouth

Ferne Lowe Colvin, 86, of Falmouth, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at the St. Luke East Hospital in Fort Thomas. Born on March 4, 1921, she was a daughter of the late William and Mattie King Lowe. Ferne was preceded in death by her husband Carl Colvin who passed in 1990. She was a retired Nurse of more than 20 years, a member of the US Army Nurses Corp. where she served in England for three years during WWII, a board member of the Pendleton County Health Dept, member of the Democratic Womens Club, and an elder at Morgan Christian Church.

Ferne is survived by two children; Brenda (Gary) Baker of Atlanta, Ga. and Alan (Julie) Colvin of Plant City, Fla. and four grandchildren; Kristin and Clay Baker, Cara Barrett and Clark Colvin.

She was preceded in death by sister; Willena Greene and brother; Rev. C. Oral Lowe.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 1, 2007 2 p.m. at Morgan Christian Church, Rev. Katherine Roark officiated. Casket bearers were James Godman, Randy Godman, Mike Godman, Clark Colvin, Clay Baker and Hiram Harville. Interment with full military honors by Hardin-Browning Post #109 followed in Morgan Cemetery. Margaret Lehman, 81, Ft Thomas

Willa Margaret "Marge" Lehman, 81, of Fort Thomas, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at the University Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Born on January 16, 1926 in Pendleton County, she was a daughter of the late William Reynolds and Margaret Murphy Reynolds.

On October 4, 1950, she married Robert J. Lehman. He preceded her in death on October 18, 1998. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Ft. Thomas.

She is survived by seven children; Donna Lehman of Alexandria, Debbie Davis of Richwood, Ky, Gerard Lehman of Cincinnati, Ohio, Stephen Lehman of Highland Heights, Marlene Wade of Ft. Thomas, Mark Lehman of Ft. Thomas, Kevin Lehman of Villa Hills, thirteen grandchildren, three sisters; Mary Hertzenberg of Alexandria, Ruth Reynolds of Cincinnati, Ohio, Ann Frances Macke of Cincinnati, Ohio, and one brother; Donald Reynolds of Cincinnati, Ohio.

In addition to her husband, Willa was preceded in death by five brothers; Harold, Raymond, Joe, John and Richard.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, September 1, 2007 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Ft. Thomas. Rev. Roger Cooney officiated. Entombment followed in St. Stephens Cemetery. Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth served the family.

 

Ronald Dixon, 69, Falmouth

Ronald Dixon, 69 of Falmouth passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2007 at his home. The son of the late Mr. Raymond Dixon Sr., he is survived by his mother Mona Walston Kaysier of Batavia, Ohio. Ronald was born in Michigan, December 25, 1937.

A veteran of the United States Army and Navy, Ronald enjoyed woodcrafting and carpenter work.

He was proceded in death by his brother Lloyd Dixon, survived by wife, Deana Dixon of Falmouth, sons, Steven Dixon of Morrow, Ohio and Edward Greene of Carlisle, Ky, daughters, Kimberly Blankenship of Morrow, Shawnda Mink of Morrow, Jonda Sue Woodruff of South Carolina, Pamela Fuller of Falmouth, Loral Lasaur of Waynesville, Ohio, Dominique Lierman of Ohio, Amanda Dowers of Kentucky and brothers Raymond Dixon of Ohio, Kenneth Dixon of Arizona and Bill Dixon of Florida, and sister Louetta Lewis of Morrow Ohio, and twenty-one grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 from 10 a.m. at Peoples Funeral Home, Falmouth, followed by funeral service at Noon. Final resting place, Turner Ridge Cemetery, Falmouth.

Memorials are suggested to American Legion Post 109, 111 Montjoy St., Falmouth, Ky 41040.

 

Richard Johnson, 73, Ohio

Richard Johnson, 73 of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away Thursday, August 30, 2007 at Vitas Hospice Unit in Eaton, Ohio.

He is survived by his wife Roberta Johnson of Cincinnati, Ohio, and sons.

Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced by Peoples Funeral Home, of Falmouth.

 

Roland H. Paro, 35, Butler

Roland H. Paro, 35 of Butler passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 28, 2007.

Son of Roland B. Paro and Jacqueline Lopez Paro of the State of California, Roland was born in Hawaii, and is also survived by his wife, Susan Paro of Alexandria, son Anthony Paro of Idaho, daughters Jannelle, Kayla and Leah Paro of Alexandria, and brother Duke Paro and sisters Selina Paro of the State of California and Desiree Paro of Hawaii.
