William Bishop, 64, Falmouth

William Bishop, 64 of Falmouth passed away Friday August 24, 2007 in Pendleton County. William was born in Pendleton County January 21, 1943. He was the son of the late Sidney Morgan and Mattie (Mains) Bishop.

William was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by brother Dexter Bishop and sisters Christina and Judy Owens, and Brenda Joyce Tackett. He is survived by daughter, Billie Jo Bishop of Florence, brother Jimmy (Shirley) Bishop of Falmouth and sisters, Lena Orr and Nancy Seedle also of Falmouth, and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at Peoples Funeral Home, Falmouth.

Visitation was held Monday August 27 at Peoples Funeral Home, Falmouth.

Final resting place Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Falmouth.

 

Lee Cox, 68, Alexandria

Lee Cox, 68 of Alexandria, Ky passed away Saturday August 18, 2007 at Saint Luke East Hospice, Fort Thomas.

Mr Cox was the retired owner of A-1 Safety Driving School, Erlanger, member of Plum Creek Christian Church, Butler and Pendleton Country Club, Butler. He is survived by his wife Elaine (Ryan) Cox, son Bryan Cox of Georgetown, two brothers, Ernie Cox of Augusta and Rev. Wendell Cox of Butler and sisters, Edith (Cox) McKenny of Brooksville and Mae (Cox) Howard also of Brooksville.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Tuesday August 21, 2007 at Plum Creek Christian Church. Interment held at Alexandria Cemetery, Alexandria.

Geneva H. Steffen, 93, Ft. Thomas

Geneva H. Steffen, 93, of Fort Thomas, Kentucky passed away August 21, 2007 at St. Luke East Hospice, Ft. Thomas, Ky. Born in Fort Thomas, Geneva was the only daughter of the late Mr. Walter Hildebrand and Mrs. Elizabeth (Keller) Hildebrand.

A retired employee of Disabled American Veterans, Cold Springs, and member of St. Mary's Ladies Society and Campbell County V.F.W. Post 3205 Ladies Auxiliary, Alexandria, Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Steffen. Survived by her daughter, Nancy (Steffen) Anderson of Cold Springs, son Gary Steffen of Burlington, and brother Walter Hildebrand of Fort Thomas, six grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held 10 a.m. August 25, 2007 at Saint Joseph Church, Alexandria. Interment was held at Saint Mary Cemetery, Alexandria.

Ruth L. Beck, 87, Verona

Ruth L. Beck, 87 of Verona, Ky passed away Thursday, August 23, 2007 at St. Lukes East Hospice, Ft. Thomas, Ky.

Mrs Beck was a retired employee of General Electric Cincinnati, OH. Formerly of Highland Heights, daughter of the late Everett and Nanie (Henderson) Shoemaker. She is preceded in death by her husband Edward Joseph Beck in 1999.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Carol Sue Clevenger of Verona, son Ron Beck of Newport, and brother, Robert Shoemaker of Newport, and six grand children and seven great granchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, August 27, 2007 Alexandria Funeral Home, Alexandria. Interment took place at Alexandria Cemetery, Alexandria. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 1403 Alexandria Pike, Ft Thomas, Ky 41075.
