Nannie Jenkins, 85, Falmouth

Nannie Ellen Jenkins, 85, of Falmouth, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2008 at the River Valley Nursing Home in Butler. Born on October 16, 1922, she was a daughter of the late William Virgil and Nicey Teegarden Ramsey. On January 13, 1940 she married Kirtley Jenkins, who preceded her in death on December 7, 1992. She was a homemaker, farmer and member of the Harvest Community Church in Pendleton County.

She is survived by one son, Charles William Jenkins of Falmouth; two daughters, Jean Clarke Rapp of Butler and Linda Louise Daugherty of Falmouth; seven grandchildren, Kelly Jenkins, Casey Jenkins, Stacy Jenkins, Amy Daugherty, Chris Daugherty, Wendy Lusty, Brad Daugherty; 17 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; four brothers, Harry Ramsey, Melvin Ramsey and Eugene Ramsey of Falmouth and Raymond Ramsey of Brooksville; and one sister; Geraldine Cummins of Foster.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Tony Jenkins and Karma Rapp; three sisters, Edna Lou Ramsey, Dorothy Clifford, Kathleen Barnard; one brother, Junior Ramsey, and a son-in-law; Gary Rapp.

The visitation took place Sunday at the funeral home.

Funeral services were held on Monday, June 23, 2008 at Woodhead Funeral Home in Falmouth with Bro. Dale Bobb officiating.

Pallbearers for the service were: Kelly Jenkins, Casey Jenkins, Stacy Jenkins, Brad Daugherty, Trenton Daugherty, Kurtis Baker, Barry Lusty, and Michael Jenkins.

Honorary pallbearers were: Daniel Jenkins, Ricky Miles, Charlie Jenkins, J.D. Daugherty, Jackson Jenkins, Dylan Jenkins, Wayne Razor, Amy Daugherty, Wendy Lusty, Shonda Ferguson, Miranda Craig, Danielle Daugherty, Hayley Daugherty, Brandy Lusty, Abigail Daugherty, and Katie Colemire.

Interment took place in the Riverside Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Harvest Community Church.

 

Temple Bishop, 72, Falmouth

Temple Varner Bishop, 72, of Falmouth, passed away Saturday at her home. Born on March 20, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Alva and Alice King Varner. In 1953 she married Clarence Bishop who preceded her in death on January 14, 1989.

She was a caregiver to many and a member of the Oakland Christian Church. She spent her life working beside her husband on the family farm.

She is survived by a son, Randy (Debbie) Bishop of Falmouth; a daughter, Maria (Gerald) Barlow of Falmouth; four grandchildren, Jeremy Barlow, Jason Barlow, Joey Bishop, Robby Bishop; two great-grandchildren, Ross and Reese Barlow; two brothers, Jimmy Varner and L.T. Varner; and two sisters, Louise Price and Juanita Richie.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Woodhead Funeral Home in Falmouth with Bro. John Byard officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be Eddie Price, Ernie Bishop, Allan Bishop, Steve Bishop, Terry Richie, Darren Varner and Jay Varner. The grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery.

The visitation took place Monday at the funeral home.

Shonda Smith Colvin, 37, Falmouth

Shonda Smith Colvin age 37 of Falmouth, passed away Friday, June 20, 2008 at her home. Shonda was born in Harrison County, on September 27, 1970. She was the daughter of the late Charles Smith and Sandra Owens Smith.

Shonda was a very dedicated employee of the Front Gate Personal Care Home in Butler, Ky.

Shonda was proceeded in death by son, Austin Colvin.

Survivors include mother, Sandra Smith; sons, Kenneth and Matthew Colvin of Tomahawk, Ky; daughters, Brandi, Alisha, and Elizabeth Colvin all of Kentucky; brothers Tommy and Charles Smith of Falmouth, and Doug Smith of Florence and special friend, Michael Priest of Falmouth.

Visitation was held Monday, June 23, 2008, and funeral services follwed at the Peoples Funeral Home in Falmouth.

Shonda's final resting place was at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Falmouth.

 

Louise Kremer, 77, Wooster, Ohio

Louise (Emminger) Kremer, age 77, of Wooster, Ohio, formerly of Mount Carmel, Ohio died Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at Westview Manor in Wooster, Ohio.

Mrs. Kremer was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Kremer in 2001.

She is survived by her two daughters, Rose (Kremer) Love of Wooster, Ohio & Lisa (Kremer) Maddox of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Sisters, Bertha Fries of California and Rita Prim of Miamisburg, Ohio; Brothers, Ray Emminger of Alexandria and Joe Emminger of Taylor Mill; Four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation was Friday, June 20, 2008, at Alexandria Funeral Home 325 Washington Street Alexandria.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, June 21, 2008 at Saint Mary Catholic Church Alexandria.

Interment took place at Saint Stephen Cemetery in Fort Thomas.

 

Ralph Collins Sr., 87, Augusta

Ralph Ward Collins, Sr., 87, of Augusta, died at his home Sunday, June, 15, 2008. He was born on December 2, 1920 to the late Maurice and Beulah Ladenburger Collins.

He was a member of the Augusta Christian Church and Mason County Senior Citizens.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ann Elizabeth Dorn Collins whom he married Feb. 20, 1943. One sister, Freida Parker.

He is survived by his children R.W. (Bonnie) Collins of Paris, Ky, and Joyce (Dale-dec.) Cooper of Augusta, Ky, and three grandchildren Eunice Cooper Hargett, Thaddaeus D. Cooper and Katherine Collins Neal; and sister Dora Snapp of Aberdeen, Ohio.

Graveside service will be 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at Maple Grove Cemetery.

John Richardson, 51, Falmouth

John Harlow Richardson, age 51, of Falmouth, passed away on Tuesday at his home. John was born in Kentucky on February 17, 1957.

John was the former owner of the We Care Auto Care in Falmouth, and a veteran of the Army.

He was proceeded in death by son, James Richardson, and brother, Gary Richardson.

Survivors include: parents Ben and Francis Richardson, Missouri; wife, Rebecca Richardson of Falmouth; sons, John H. Richardson Jr. and Donald Richardson both of Falmouth; Step-son, Dakota Rice of Falmouth, daughter Jannie Richardson of Falmouth; step-daughters, Hanna Rice, Breanna Rice, and Rena Jenkins of Falmouth, Tina Perkins Hoskins of California, Tammy Perkins Turner, of Newport, Tabitha Roark of Cincinnati, Tonya Perkins Lewin of Erlanger, Heather Brown of Erlanger; brothers Hubert Richardson of Bowling Green; sister, Margina Richard-son, New Mexico; 13 Step Grandchildren and several step great grandchildren.

Vistitation will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2008 from Noon - 2 p.m. at the Peoples Funeral Home in Falmouth.

Funeral Services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home under full military honors by the American Legion Post 109.

John's final resting place will be at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Falmouth.

 

Emma White, 84, Florence

Emma Gertrude Hamilton White, 84, of Florence, died Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at her residence.

Visitation and services were held Saturday, June 21, 2008 at the St. James Catholic Church in Brooksville.

Odes Linville Jr., 69, Germantown

Odes Linville, Jr, 69, of Germantown, died Monday, June 16, 2008. He was born on August 1, 1938 to the late Odes and Gladys White Linville.

He was a member of the Chatham Christian Church.

He is survived by his loving companion Jackie Arthur of Brooksville; brothers and sisters Quinton Earl Linville, Alexandria, Ohio, Margaret Watkins, Germantown, James Dale (Ann) Linville, Augusta, Joyce Tuel, Brooksville, Sandy (Bill) Mullikin, Brooksville and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceeded in death by two brothers and a sister, William G. Linville, Samuel G. Linville, and Louise Collins Crawford.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2008, at Palmer Funeral Home in Germantown.
