James Bromley, 51, Dayton
James Bromley, 51, Dayton, passed away, Wednesday, April 16, 2008. He was the son of Stella Morris and the late Elmer Bromley.
James Randall Bromley was born to Elmer and Stella Bromley on May 31, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio. The family moved to Dayton, Ky in 1962. Randy played peewee football for Dayton. He loved football and baseball, he would watch all the games, hollering and cursing all the way through them. Randy was more at peace when he was fishing and camping. He never wanted to come home when the weekend ended. He would always say he was going to catch the most fish and the biggest fish.
As a child he owned a drum set and would play to the radio all the time. He loved music. He loved Nascar racing and would collect anything he could. Randy never got to meet his youngest son, Bryton or his grandaughter, Anita. He had a long distance relationship with his daughter Alica, she lived in South Dakota. They kept in contact over the phone and through letters. He was very proud of her and would tell everyone how beautiful she was.
Randy was a very soft hearted person. He loved kids and they loved him. They would play for hours as if they were the same age.
In the mid seventies he hitchhiked to the Grand Canyon to see Evel Kneivel, from there he joined a carnival and traveled through out the West, stopping home after the season closed and then returning again. He done this for years and really enjoyed it.
When he came home for good he drove for Yellow Cab for nine years, he loved to drive. Over the last few years Randy had a heart bypass and other operations. Randy loved to walk, and would walk to where ever he wanted to go. If he felt he needed to be somewhere he would walk until he got there.
He contacted Nuporatory in his legs, a muscle disease, and had to resort to a cane. Randy became withdrawn and very dependent on others. He was in his own little world and felt hopeless both physically and mentally. Randy never married but had a special person in his life, Jan, whom he was madly in love with and thought the world of. He loved to party and enjoyed being with family and friends.
Randy has finally lost his pain and found his peace, his family will deeply miss him. We loved you deeply Randy.
