
Sarah Helen Sargent, 94, Falmouth
Sarah Helen Sargent, 94, of Falmouth, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2008 at the Friendship Manor Nursing Home in Pee Wee Valley, Kentucky.Sarah was born in Fayette County, the daughter of the late E.M. and Ella Botkin Shrout. She was a member and Sunday school teacher for Falmouth United Methodist Church, and director of the Pendleton County Farm Bureau for 12 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Sargent in 1981; brother, Joe Banks Shrout; sister, Sue Dean Shrout and grandson, Zachary Santos.
Sarah is survived by son, Darryl (Becky) Sargent of Falmouth; daughter, Venita (Sal) Santos of La Grange, and three grandchildren, Sarah, Chandler and Vincent Santos.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2008, from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. at the Peoples Funeral Home in Falmouth. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 2 p.m. also at the funeral home. Final resting place will be Riverside Cemetery in Falmouth.

Alberta Miller, 86 Cynthiana
Alberta Faye Miller, 86, of Cynthiana, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2008, at the Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana. Born in Bracken County, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Fannie Crawford Miller. She was a retired farmer and one of the oldest members of the Oakland Christian Church in Pendleton County.
Alberta was preceded in death by three sisters; Chloe King, Hortense Browning, and Clarice Wagoner, and a nephew, Raymond King Jr.
She is survived by three nieces, Louise Douglas of Brooksville, Pam Clayton of Walton, and Connie Jo Bowling of Falmouth; two nephews, Greg Browning of Cynthiana, Harold King of Brooksville and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 10, 2008 at Oakland Christian Church in Pendleton County, with Bro. John Byard and Bro. David Watkins officiating. Music was by the church choir accompanied by Barbara Browning. The pallbearers were Chad Bowling, Lance Bowling, John Clayton, Derrick Browning, Justin Browning and Joey King. Honorary pallbearers were, Mark Clayton, Henry Bertram, Larry Bowling, Harold King, Melvin Ramsey, John Holleran, Harry Ramsey, Larry King and Rick Douglas. Interment took place in Oakland Cemetery.

Michael Lee Moore, 46, Hamilton
Michael Lee Moore, 46, of Hamilton passed away Thursday, January 31, 2008 at Hospice of Hamilton at Sunrise.
He was born in Fort Thomas on December 11, 1961, the son of Delmar and Janice (House) Moore. Michael was a 1979 graduate of Lakota High School and received his Associate's Degree from the University of Cincinnati. He was employed as a Radiological/MRI Technologist at Fort Hamilton and Deaconess Hospitals. Michael attended Millville Avenue Church of God. On August 14, 1992 in Hamilton, he married Jani Hicks.
He is survived by his wife, Jani Moore and daughter, Hannah Kayleigh Moore of Hamilton; his parents, Delmar and Janice Moore of Barefoot Bay, Florida; a brother, Mark (Heather) Moore of Hamilton; a nephew, Jacob Moore; a niece, Amber Moore and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Chris and Mike Hicks of Ross.
Funeral services were held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home on Monday, February 4, 2008. Pastor Stephen N. Collins of Millville Avenue Church of God officiated. Final resting place was Venice Cemetery.

Emma Johnson, 82, Melbourne
Emma Rogers Johnson, 82, of Melbourne, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2008, at her home. She was a member of Valley Chapel in Silver Grove.
Emma is survived by her husband, the Rev. Walker Franklin Johnson, and five sons, Dennis Johnson of Highland Heights, Richard Johnson of Alexandria, Ronald Johnson of Melbourne, Phillip Johnson of Melbourne, and Charles Johnson of Alexandria; four daughters, Virginia Gamble of Dry Ridge, Jane Bay of Dayton, Lisa Arrowood of Cold Spring and Laura Zumwalt of Latonia, and sister, Ailene Hatton of Newport and brother, Dewey Rogers of Brooksville, and 28 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Cooper Funeral Home in Alexandria. Final resting place was Butler Cemetery in Butler.
Vanessa L. Fuller, 36, Erlanger
Vanessa L. Fuller, 36 of Erlanger, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at her home. She was born in Fort Thomas and the daughter of the late Elzie and Wilma Byrd.
Vanessa was a passionate housewife and loved spending time with family and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Anthony Byrd.
Vanessa is survived by her husband, Darrin Fuller of Erlanger; son, Corey Sebastian of Erlanger; stepsons Michael Fuller of Erlanger, and Mickey Fuller of Independence; stepdaughter, Tessa Fuller of Independence; brothers, Jeff Byrd of Alexandria and Eric Byrd of Falmouth; sisters, Mary Perry of Independence, Melissa Turner of Erlanger, Susan Byrd of Wilder, Judy Fahlbush of Bellevue, Bonnie Gundling of Cincinnati, Ohio and Kimberly Byrd of Alexandria, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 7, 2008 at the Alexandria Church of God under the direction of Peoples Funeral Home. Final resting place was Oakland Cemetery in Grant's Lick.
Randal Marshall, 61, Alexandria
Randal "Randy" Dane Marshall, 61, of Alexandria, (formerly of Butler), passed away Friday, March 7, 2008 at St. Luke East Hospital. He was the son of the late Gora Davis and Norma Craig Marshall. His mother survives his death.
Randy is also survived by son, Jeff (Shannon) Marshall of Cincinnati, Ohio; brothers, Terry (Marianne) Marshall of Wilder; sister, Andrea Gaye (Billy) Pugh of Falmouth, and two grandchildren, Dylan and Reese Marshall.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 11, 2008 from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 2 p.m. also at the funeral home. Final resting place will be Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Pendleton County.

James Crawford Sr., 86, Falmouth
James Melvin Crawford Sr., 86 of Falmouth, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2008, at his home. Born in Pendleton County, he was the son of the late George and Mina Fields Crawford. James was a retired carpenter and farmer who served his country in the United States Navy during World War II, stationed in the Aleutian Islands. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church, Falmouth and the Hardin-Browning Post #109.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Alma Crawford and 10 children; James M. Crawford Jr., of Carrollton, Georgia Bishop of Madeira, Ohio, Tony Crawford of Independence, Pat Hardy, John T. (Bud) Crawford, David Crawford, Dennis Crawford and Mary Kay Crawford all of Falmouth, Philip Crawford and Bobby Crawford both of Brooksville; 21 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren, Mason and Baily Hardy, Macon and Anna Lee Bishop and Jordan Hardy, and a host of extended family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church in Falmouth, with Rev. Gregory J. Bach officating and Father Davy concelebrating. Music by Darryl Ammerman, Mike Cummins and Martha Lynn. Pallbearers will be grandsons; Brian Hardy, Jason Hardy, Garett, Chris, Tommy, John, Zach, Chase, Grant and Austin Crawford. Honorary pallbearers his granddaughters; Nicole Bishop, Kristine Bishop, Leanna Crawford, Michelle Herrick, Lindsey Crawford, Brooke Crawford, Laura Shields, Nadina Shields, Jenna Crawford, Allyson Crawford and Jaclyn Crawford. Interment will take place in St Francis Xavier Cemetery, with full military honors by the Hardin-Browning Post #109.

Earl Thomas Iles, 33, of Newport, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2008, at University Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a masonry and concrete worker.
He was the son of Mitchell Iles and Mary Taylor of Covington who survive his death.
Earl is also survived by his wife, Sherry Iles; four sons, Corey Iles, Randall, Darren and Steven Iles of Elsmere; one step-daughter, Zoe Iles; three brothers, Mitchell Iles Jr., of Covington, Chris Iles of New-port, Nick Iles of Florida; two sisters Mary Morales of Covington and Kelly Trent of Mississippi.
