Ruby Cooper Cole, 66, Falmouth

Ruby Cole, 66, of Falmouth, Ky., passed away on Monday, February 12, 2007 at the St. Luke Hospice Unit. She was born in Pendleton County, Ky., on March 6, 1940, daughter of the late Elbert and Helen Routt Cooper. She was preceded in death by sons, Rob Cole and Donald Cole Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Cole of Falmouth; a son, Sterling Cole of Falmouth; daughters, Venus (Chuck) Moore of Falmouth and Dionna (Jerry) Tucker of Augusta; brothers, Richard (Paula) Cooper of Falmouth and Charles (Ruby) Cooper of Berry; sisters, Joyce (Elza) Tolliver and Nellie (Richard) Clos, both of Falmouth, and Sandra (Chester) Toomey and Crittenden; granddaughters, Bambi Winkle, Amy Winkle and Millie Lowery; grandsons, James Bruener, Sterling Cole Jr., Robert Cole, Derrick Cole and Donnie Ray Moore; great-granddaughters, Brooklyn Mullins and Anatasia Cole; a great-grandson, Gage Florence; also surviving is a dear friend, Nellie Cole, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was loved and will be missed by those who knew her.

Funeral services were held on Friday, February 16 at Peoples Funeral Home in Falmouth. Interment took place in Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth.

 

Barbara Sue Bayhi, 62, Florida

Barbara Sue Bayhi, 62, of Sanford, Florida, went home to the Lord on February 20, 2007 after a long battle with cancer. She was born on March 19, 1944 in Falmouth, Kentucky, daughter of Max and Mildred Johnson of Falmouth, Kentucky. Barbara graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1966 and began a teaching career in Fayette County, Ky. She moved to the Central Florida area in 1974 with her husband, Craig M. Bayhi, daughter Elizabeth Ann Bayhi and her son Craig M. Bayhi II. She was very active in various family owned businesses where she served as Chief Financial Officer and was also a substitute teacher at St. Mary Magdalen Elementary School. Barbara was a long time member of Annunciation Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic minister.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Craig M. Bayhi of Sanford, Florida, her daughter Elizabeth Ann Bayhi of Sanford, Florida, her son Craig Michael Bayhi II of Sanford, Florida, and her brother Earl Keith Johnson of Gardnersville, Ky.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 24 at the Annunciation Catholic Church, Altamonte Springs, Florida Interment took place at Oaklawn Park Cemetery, Lake Mary, Fla.

Haskell G. Spaw, 72, Grant's Lick

Haskell Glenn Spaw, 72, of Grant's Lick, Ky., passed away on Friday, February 23, 2007 at his daughter's residence in Grant's Lick, Ky. He was a retired factory worker for ATR of Danville and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of the American Legion of Stanford, Ky., and a member of The Masonic Order.

Survivors include daughters, Becki Steffen of Grant's Lick, Sandy Barnes and Tammy Underwood, both of Cold Spring, Ky.; a son, Doug Spaw of Junction City, Ky.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 27 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., the time of funeral service, at Cooper Funeral Home, Grant's Lick. Interment will take place in the Alexandria Cemetery.

 

Roseline Wesseler, 89, Southgate

Roseline Litmer Wesseler, 89, of Alexandria, Ky., passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2007 at the Highlands of Ft. Thomas in Southgate, Ky. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth Cook Litmer. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Walter Wesseler, preceded her in death in 1972. A son, Kenneth Wesseler also preceded her in 2000.

Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Drees of Alexandria; a son, Dennis Wesseler of Covington; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, February 27 at St. John the Baptist Church in Wilder, Ky. Interment took place in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio.

 

Gary Lee Ducker, 57, Indiana

Gary Lee Ducker, 57, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, formerly of Falmouth, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2007 at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, Ky. He was born in Covington, Ky., on September 12, 1949. He was an avid University of Louisville fan, and was the owner and operator of Ducker's Electric. He married Kitty Grider, and his dear wife survives his passing.

Funeral services were held on Monday, February 26 at Peoples Funeral Home, Butler. Interment took place in the Butler Cemetery.

There will be a memorial service at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27, at Our Lady of he Blessed Sacrament Chapel (old St. Anthony Chapel), at Kindred Hospital, 1313 St. Anthony Place, Louisville, Ky., 40204.

 

Gladys F. Cousins, 75, Carlisle

Gladys Faye Cousins, 75, of Carlisle, Ky., passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at the Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home, after a long illness. She was born in Mayslick on April 13, 1931, daughter of the late Claude and Nannie Ellison Linville. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and a loving mother. She was a member of Carlisle Methodist Church in Carlisle, Ky.

Survivors include her children, Barry Thomas Glass of Cresthill, Ill., Donna Mae Anderson of Hebron, Ky., Delana Sharon Priest and Timothy Douglas Glass, both of Falmouth, Ky., Teresa Lynn Shumway of Carlisle, Ky., Tina Darlene Glass of West Union, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brothers, Lee Linville of Dade City, Fla., Ben Linville of Carlisle, Ky., and David Linville of Petersburg, Mich.; sisters, Beulah Fryman of Carlisle, Ky., Margaret Smith of Richmond, Ind., and Georgia Pribble of Butler, Ky.

Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, February 22, at the Clark Funeral Home, Carlisle, Ky., with the Rev. David Linville officiating. Interment took place in the Elizaville Cemetery.

 

Sue Ann Alford, 58, Warsaw

Sue Ann Alford, 58, of Warsaw, Ky., passed away on Monday, February 26, 2006 at the Gallatin Health Care Center in Warsaw. She was the daughter of the late Oliver and Gladys Tarvin Alford.

Survivors include sisters, Arlene Buchanan of Florence, Lana Barr of Land of Lakes, Fla., and Vera Alford of Newport; and brothers, Curtis Alford of Alexandria and Howard Alford of Newport.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 28 at Mt. Gilead Cemetery, California, Ky.

 

Lucille Dean, 78, Park Hills

Lucille Dean, 78, of Park Hills, Ky., passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2007 at her residence. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Raymond Dean, preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Raymond Dean of Jacksonville, Fla.; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 24 at Cooper Funeral Home, Grant's Lick. Interment took place in The Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, Ky.
