
Dorothy Petrie, 90, Cold Spring
Dorothy Ann (Murray) Petrie, 90, of Cold Spring passed away, Thursday February 14, 2008 at Saint Rita's Medical Center in Lima, Ohio.
Mrs. Petrie was a homemaker, she also worked for Shillito's in Cincinnati, Ohio and Disabled American Veterans in Cold Spring.
She was a member of Saint John's Anglican Catholic Church in Dayton, Ky.
Mrs. Petrie was preceded in death by her husband Robert John Petrie in 1997 and a grand daughter, Tracy Petrie Evans in 2003.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Ann (Petrie) Bryan of Alexandria; Susan (Petrie) Teruel of Lima, Ohio and one son, Robert James Petrie of Cold Spring; eight grand children and 13 great grand children.
Funeral services were held Monday, February 18, 2008 at Saint John's Anglican Catholic Church in Dayton in Kentucky.

Billy Joseph Hughes, 4, Butler
Billy Joseph Housten Hughes, age 4 of Butler, passed away Friday January 25, 2008 at his home.
Billy was born in Kentucky on April 13, 2003, the son of Jamie and Christa Marksberry Hughes and they both survive his death.
Billy is also survived by his great grand mother, Imogene Bryant of Hazard, Kentucky, grand mothers, Phyllis Hughes and Mary Palmer both of Butler, one brother, Brandon Scott Hughes and one sister, Bethany Jean Hughes both of Butler, and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2008 from 11 a.m. to Noon at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler. Funeral Services will follow at Noon at funeral home.
Final resting place will be Butler Cemetery in Butler.
Flour Creek Christian Church has kindly offered the use of their facilities for family members and friends to meet after the services.
Jean Penick, 71, DeMossville
Jean Roland Penick, 71, of DeMossville passed away Thursday, February 14, 2008 at St. Luke Hospital West in Florence.
Jean was born in Grant County and the daughter of the late Jesse B. Roland and Flora Wainscott Roland. She was a member of Carter's Chapel United Methodist Church in DeMossville and a former health care provider and nurse's aide at Grant Manor in Woodspoint and Florence Park Care Centers.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Harry L. Roland.
Jean is survived by her husband, Frank W. Penick, and son, Kent Doud of Hebron; three daughters, Bonnie Jean Burns of Kansis City, Missouri, April Lynn Callen of Williamstown, Lorie Gerding of Dry Ridge, and a step daughter, Karen Butt of Walton, 14 grand children and 10 great grand children.
Funeral services were held Monday, February 18, 2008 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Crittenden. Final resting place was Carter's Chapel Cemetery in DeMossville.
Shirley E. Fenhoff, 78, Walton
Shirley E. Fenhoff, 78, of Walton passed away February 13, 2008 at the Villa Springs Nursing Home.
Shirley was born in Newport and the daughter of the late Albert M. and Irma Reinhardt Pitzer. She was a retired IRS employee and real estate agent.
Shirley was preceded in death by brother, Donald Pitzer, and sister, Jean Mueller.
She is survived by her husband, James H. Fenhoff Sr., sons, James H. "Skip" (Riki Sue) Fenhoff Jr., of Del Rio, Tenn, Brian Keith Fenhoff of Walton, daughter Janet Walton of DeMossville; brothers, Albert M. Pitzer of Ft. Thomas; Paul (Patty) Pitzer of Cold Springs; two sisters, Dorothy Fay of Ransomville, New York; Carol (Ken) Luther of Cincinnati, Ohio, brother-in-law George Mueller and eight grand children and one great grand child.
Funeral services were held Monday, February 18, 2008 at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler. Final resting place was Gardnersville Cemetery
Ruby Clos, 73, Foster
Ruby Clos, 73, of Foster passed away Saturday, February 16, 2008 at her home.
Ruby was born in Pendleton County and the daughter of the late Rollie and Goldie Miller Cummins. She was a retired Pendleton County school teacher of 30 years. She enjoyed gardening and sewing, and an active member of Pine Grove Methodist Church. She loved her poodle dogs and memoriabilia.
She was also preceded in death by a half brother, Kenneth Cummins.
Ruby was the wife of Charles William "Bill" Clos of Foster and he survives her death. Bill is the pastor at Carter's Chapel in Gardnersville. Also surviving her death are sisters-in-law Norma Cummins of Crittenden, Barbara Jane Clos of Lenior, Tenn, Julia (Joe) Eshman of Alexandria, and aunts, Sylvia Biddle of Butler, Ruth Jacobs also of Butler and Margie Smith of Germantown.
Funeral services will be held at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 11 a.m. Final resting place will be Lenoxburg Cemetery in Bracken County.
Memorial donations are suggested to Pine Grove Methodist Church in Pine Grove or Carter's Chapel Church.

Tina Marie DeMoss, 35 of Wilder passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at University Hospital in Cincinnati. She was an assistant manager at AmeriStop.
Tina is survived by her father Gary Yeary of Alexandria; mother Esther Keeton of Edgewood and daughter Sheena Lenn DeMoss of California; maternal grandmother Lena Couch of Edgewood and fiance Tom Zinkhon.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Cooper Funeral Home in Alexandria. Final resting place was Persimmon Grove Cem-etery.
Jerry Shepperd, 37, Rockford, Ill
Jerry Ross Shepperd, 37, of Rockford, Illinois (formerly of Berry) passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2008.
He was the son of the late Allen Shepperd and Emma Sue Cummins Rardin. Jerry was also preceded in death by grandparents Marie St. John, Bill St. John, James Shepperd and a nephew Steven Shepperd.
Jerry is survived by his ex-wife Joy Hill Shepperd, aunt Norma Jean McKee of Berry, three sisters; Della Lenz of Illinois, Tina Wilson and Rebecca Shepperd both of Cynthiana; three brothers, Jeff Shepperd of Cynthiana, Tim Shepperd of Berry, Allen Shepperd of Clarksville, Tenn; nine nieces, three nephews and his grandmother, Dessie Shepperd of Falmouth.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Woodhead Funeral Home in Berry. Visitation will take place from 1 p.m.-2 p.m. Burial will follow in the Pythian Grove Cemetery.

Frances K. Naylor, 79 of Butler passed away Thursday, February 14, 2008 at her home.
Frances was born in West Virginia, and the daughter of the late George L. and Lillian Roberts Crosby.
She was was preceded in death by son, John Yelton.
Frances was the wife of Gilbert Naylor and he survives her death. She is also survived by son, Jim Yelton of Butler; brother, Chester Crosby of Texas; four grandchildren, Tonya, Jay, Kristen and Kelsey Yelton and three great grand children, Courtney, Zack and Jonathan Yelton.
Graveside services were held Monday, February 18, 2008 at Peoples Funeral in Butler. Final resting place was Butler Cemetery in Butler.
Memorial donations are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.

Margaret Hazel (Goebel) Casson, 82, of Alexandria passed away Thursday, February 14, 2008 at Harborside Healthcare in Florence. She was a retired principal broker for Casson Realty in Alexandria.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie Casson in 2006.
She is survived by one son, Dick Casson of Alexandria, one sister, Mary Vivian (Goebel) Sowder of Florence, and four grand children, Richard, Ashley and Austin Casson all of Alexandria; two great grand children, Abbey Smith and Camron Casson both of Alexandria.
Funeral services were held Monday, February 18, 2008 at Alexandria Funeral Home in Alexandria. Dr. Calvin Perry officiated.
Entombment took place at Alexandria Cemetery Mausoleum in Alexandria.
Alvin William Reis, 75, California
Alvin William Reis, 75, of California passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at his home.
He was a self-employed farmer and saw mill operator. Alvin was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church in California and the Catholic Order of Foresters. He was on the Board of Trustees for the Farm Bureau; a board member for Southern States, and a member of ASCS.
Alvin is survived by his wife Eileen Reis; sons Bill, Chris, Paul and Steve Reis all of California; daughters, Mary Beth Rust, Kathy Lauer, Marilyn Wiechman, Sarah Schultz all of California, and Annie Blair of Columbus, and 22 grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in California.

Leon "Tom" Dorton, 55, of Milford passed away Saturday, February 16, 2008 at his home.
He was born in Dorton, Kentucky, and was the son of the late Levi and Ethel Church Dorton. Leon was a retired coal miner and a member of Living Waters Fellowship of the Mountain Assembly in Georgetown.
Leon is survived by his wife, Truda Lou Parsons Dorton and his children, Gena Lynn (Randy) Reno of Paintsville; Richard Eugene (Paula) Anderson of Cynthiana; Leondra Michelle (Brian) Workman also of Cynthiana; Jerald Thomas Dorton of Brooksville, and Jonathan Layne Dorton of Brooksville; grand children, Josiah Reno; Savannah Reno; Charli Denise Anderson; Cody Anderson; Cacee R. Workman; Joshua B. Workman; Noa Alexis Workman; Aaron Thomas Dorton and Isabella Rose Dorton; brothers and sisters, Ann Case of Dorton; Anna Lea (Jim) Oakes of Dorton; Pat (Barry) Barnett of Jacksonville, Fla; Franka L. Agnes Smith, 86, of Carrollton (formerly of Pendleton County) passed away Monday, February 18, 2008 at the St. Luke Hospital West in Florence.
Agnes was born in Owen County, and the daughter of the late Ewin Thomas and Flotilla Payne Hayden.
She was a member of Cove Hill Baptist Church in Carrollton.
Agnes was preceded in death by sons, Kenneth Ray Smith, Joseph Smith and John Smith; brothers Clarence, E.T., Herbert, Edgar and Jessie Hayden; sisters, Audrey Banta, Alene Hayden and Marjorie Barth.
She is survived by sons David Smith of Dry Ridge and Wayne Smith of Bethel, Ohio; daughters, Katie Breeden of Falmouth, Patsy McGuire and Agnes Rader both of Carrollton, Carol McDole of Rising Sun, Ind, Mayme Steinmetz of Eminence and Susan Drury of Carrollton; brother Leslie Hayden of Carrollton and sister Coty West of Eminence; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Cove Hill Baptist Church in Carrollton on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 from 10 a.m. - Noon. Funeral services will follow also at the church under the direction of Peoples Funeral Home in Falmouth.
Final resting place will be Carrollton I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.
