Eulonda Alsip, 76, Butler

Eulonda (Lonnie) Alsip, 76, of Butler, Ky., passed away on October 26, 2006 at the River Valley Nursing Home in Butler, Ky., after a long illness. She was born in Burnside, Ky., on February 14, 1930, daughter of the late William Alsip and Mary Jane Huffaker Alsip King. She was a retired nurse and secretary. Preceding her in death were her parents, a son, Michael Paul Flynn; three brothers, William Henry Alsip, William Woodroe King Jr., and Robert Lee Alsip; sisters, Verna Lucille, Anna Dewan, Esther Emaline, Betty Louise and Wanda Joy Alsip and Sharon Belle Rozaieski.

Survivors include a daughter, Krystal (Don) Ballengee of Huntington, W. Va.; brothers, Jack (Jeanne) and Cecil (Dottie) Alsip, both of Butler, Ky., Chris (Bertha) Alsip of Walton, Ky; a half brother Armel Alsip of Byrdstown, Tenn.; grandchildren, Troy and Scott Ballengee; six great-grandchildren, Megan, Kristina, Joey, Emily, Kelsey and Brandon; and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, October 30, 2006 at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home in Somerset, Ky with Bro. David Muse officiating. Serving as pallbearers were grandsons Troy and Scott Ballengee, nephews Jeff and Marty Alsip and cousins Buddy and Rodney Stevens. Interment took place in the Burnside Cemetery, Burnside, Ky.

John Howard Keeler, 52, Falmouth

John Howard Keeler, 52, of Falmouth, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2006, in an automobile accident. Born on March 2, 1954, in Campbell County, Kentucky, he was a son of Juanita Hoess Keeler and the late Richard Paul Keeler. Formerly he worked as a truck driver.

In addition to his mother, Juanita Keeler of Falmouth, he leaves two brothers: Jerome Howard Keeler of Falmouth, Kentucky, and Richard Lee Keeler of Crescent Springs, Kentucky; two nieces: Je Raley and Elise Keeler; two nephews: Judge Keeler and Christian Keeler; and his uncle, Howard Hoess of Falmouth.

A memorial service will be held at 7:30 pm on Sunday, November 12, 2006, at Howard's Place, 1019 Ridgeway Avenue, Falmouth.

Billy Buckley, 72, Falmouth

Billy Buckley, 72, of Falmouth, Ky., passed away on Saturday, November 4, 1006 at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana, Ky. He was born on May 2, 1934, son of the late Wiley and Anna Buckley. He was a Pendleton County farmer. His wife, Ramona Browning Buckley and a brother, Kenneth Buckley, preceded him in death.

Survivors include a son, David Buckley of Falmouth; a daughter, Patti Thomas of Falmouth; a sister, Fern Whitaker of Falmouth; and three grandchildren, Brad Thomas, Jason Thomas and Amberly Whalen.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 7 at Peoples Funeral Home in Falmouth. Interment will take place in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Falmouth.

Wiley Stewart, 58, Verona

Wiley B. Stewart, 58, of Verona, Ky., passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at St. Luke Hospital West in Florence. He was born on January 9, 1948 in Barbourville, Ky., son of the late Butler Stewart and Myrtle Hensley Stewart. He married Marjorie Reed Stewart and his dear wife survives his passing. A daughter, Loretta Lynn Stewart, preceded him in death. He was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church where he was a member and chairman of the Baptist Church Bus Ministry and a former Church trustee. He worked as a mechanic at Korner Auto Sales and was a former truck driver for United Van Lines.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Reed Stewart of Verona; sons Lindsey Stewart of Cincinnati, Mike Stewart of Falmouth, Eddie Stewart of Florence, Lennie Stewart of Verona and Ernest Stewart of Holts Summit, Mo; daughters, Monica Brown of Falmouth, Angela Robinson of Dry Ridge, Rebecca Jewell of Verona, Kathy McDannold of Florence, Heather Stewart of Verona, Shirley Carr of Falmouth and Darlene Stewart of Verona; his mother, Myrtle Hensley of London, Ky.; a sister, Gertie Huff of Norwood, Ohio; a brother, Richard Price of Falmouth; 15 granchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 31 at New Bethel Baptist Church in Verona by Rev. George Naylor. Interment took place in the New Bethel Cemetery, Verona, Ky.

Diane Cole, 49, Falmouth

Diane Cole, 49, of Falmouth, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2006 at her home. She was born on May 3, 1957, daughter of Clarence and Rose Mary Russell.

Other survivors inlcude her husband, Johnny Gillespie of Falmouth; a daughter, Davina Smith of Covington; brothers, Butch Russell of Scottsdale, Ariz., Chuck Russell of Dayton, Ky., Ray Russell of Latonia, Ky., Joe Russell of Ludlow, Ky., and Kenny Russell of Covington; sisters, Rose Mofford of Dayton, Ky., Linda Thorne of Bellevue and Brenda Martin of Naples, Fla., one grandson, Aaron Allen.

Funeral services took place on Monday, November 6, 2006 at Peoples Funeral Home in Falmouth. Interment took place in Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth.
