
Ruth W. Mains, 74, Falmouth
Ruth Wagner Mains, 74, of Falmouth, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2006, at her home. Born on January 11, 1932 in Pendleton County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late William and Alma Miles Wagner. On September 16, 1950, she married Gilbert Mains, and her dear husband preceded in death on March 6, 2004. She was a homemaker and a member of the Blanket Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters: Bonnie Nichols on April 19, 1988 and Becky Hardin on March 13, 2005; one son, Billy Mains on March 19, 2004; her grandson, Jeremy Nichols on May 25, 1988; her sister, Hazel Chatham; and her six brothers: William, Herbert, Charles, Leslie, Marvin, and John Wagner.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty (Donnie) Nichols of Falmouth, and her son, Barry (Debbie) Mains of Falmouth; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Velma Powell of Cynthiana, Mildred Golden of Barbourville, Ky., and Ailene Hendy of Falmouth.
Funeral services were held on Friday, November 10, 2006, at the Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, with Bro. Wayne Biddle officiating. Music was shared by Adarin Williams. The pallbearers were James O'Hara, Billy Joe Mains, Adam Hardin, Jamie Nichols, Timmy Golden, and Shawn Williams. The honorary pallbearers were her granddaughters. Interment took place in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Pendleton County.

Bill Traylor Jr., 64, Falmouth
Bill Traylor Jr., 64, of Falmouth, Ky., passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2006 at the Northern Kentucky Hospice Unit at St. Luke Hospital East in Ft. Thomas, Ky. Born on June 24, 1942 in Bracken County, Ky., he was the son of Anna Victoria Cotton Traylor Burkhead and the late William H. Traylor. He was a 1960 graduate of Pendleton High School and owned and operated Bill's Tire Company in Falmouth for 26 years, retiring in 1998. He was a member of the Gabbard Tabernacle in Butler.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie Fultz Traylor; his mother, Anna Traylor Burkhead of Lawrenceburg, Ky.; his daughter, Karen Lindsey of Ft. Mitchell, Ky.; and his sons, Bill J. Traylor of Berry, Matthew Traylor and Mark Traylor, both of Falmouth; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Crouch of Falmouth and Anna Louise Moore of Lawrenceburg, Ky.
Funeral services were held on Monday, November 20, 2006 at Woodhead Funeral Home with Bro. Jack Kiskaden officiating. The pallbearers were Tom Moore, Allen Phillips, Will Lindsey, Robert Phillips, Daniel Phillips, Ben Bishop, and Brian Crouch. Interment took place in the Lenoxburg Cemetery, Bracken Co.

Lula Mae Butts, 79, Falmouth
Lula Mae Butts, 79, of Falmouth, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2006. Born on September 8, 1927 in Pendleton County, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Mary Rose Rarrieck. She married Donald Butts on January 1, 1943, and her dear husband preceded her in death on May 12, 1985. She worked as a nurses aid at the former Pendleton County Hospital and later as a home health aide. She was a member of the Falmouth Baptist Church and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Hardin Browning Post #109.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Stephen Butts on April 12, 1998, and Timothy Albert Butts on September 6, 2002; her great granddaughter, Elyzabeth Ann Ward on April 27, 1997; her brothers, John, Elmore, Charlie, and Virgil Rarrieck, and her sister, Mary Shelton.
She leaves two daughters, Rebecca Butts of Falmouth and Susan (Tennessee) Butts of Brooksville; her daughter-in-law, Connie Butts of Daytona, Florida; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; her sister, Debbie Piercey of Cynthiana, and four brothers: Bill Rarrieck and Ralph Rarrieck, both of Clermont County, Ohio, and George Rarrieck and Butch Rarrieck, both of Falmouth.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 18, 2006, at the Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, with Bro. Harry Crozier and Bro. Tim Melling officiating. Music was shared by Greg Justice. The pallbearers were Ryan Butts, Steve Butts, Jr., Tom McDowell, Tennessee Webb, Raleigh Lunsford, and Jeffrey "Bub" Ward.
Interment took place in the Turner Ridge Cemetery, Pendleton County.

Bernice S. Bill, 92, Alexandria
Bernice Sprague Bill, 92, of Alexandria, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2006, at Grant Manor Nursing Home in Williamstown, Ky. She was born on September 18, 1914, daughter of the late Henry A. and Lady Ann Sprague. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alexandria.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer J. Bill, and by brothers, Robert Luther, Wesley William Sprague; and by sisters, Estelle Leap, Beulah Leap and Ruby Daniels.
Survivors include a sister, Ruth Beck of Williamstown.
Funeral services were held on Monday, November 20, at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler. Interment took place in St. Mary's Cemetery in Alexandria.
Lana M. Johnson, 85, Alexandria
Lana Madge Johnson, 85, of Alexandria, Ky., passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at her residence. She was a homemaker and the wife of the late Glenn Johnson who passed away in 1988.
Survivors include sons, Pepper Johnson of California, Ky., and Danny Johnson of Alexandria; daughters, Glenda Lamb of California, Ky., and Patty Trimble of Falmouth; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at noon on Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at the Wireman-Quillen Cemetery in Load, Ky. Cooper Funeral Home, Grants Lick, served the family.
Geneva Downton, 77, Cold Spring
Geneva Downton, 77, of Cold Spring, Ky., passed away on Friday, November 17, 2006 at the St. Luke East Hospital in Ft. Thomas, Ky. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, John Downton; sons, Lester Rhoden and Clifford Downton, both of Newport, and Johnny Downton and Joseph McCarthy, both of Cold Spring; daughters, Cynthia Johnson of Newport and Dawn Marie Downton of Lawrenceburg, Ind.; sisters, Christina Rooks of Clermont County, Ohio and Freda Cornelious of Clermont Co., Ky.; brothers, John Cuneo of Warsaw and George Cuneo of Clermont Co., Ohio; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family. The Cooper Funeral Home, Grants Lick, Ky., is serving the family.
Robert Game, 61, Florida
Robert G. Game, 61, of Avon Park, Fla., passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2006 at the Louden Hospital of Leesburg, Virginia. He was born in Ohio on April 15, 1945, son of the late Robert and Opel Moore Game.
Survivors include his former wife, Eileen Fryman Game Kulatz of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; a daughter, Ashley Game of Sterling, Va.; a brother, John Game of Cincinnati; and sisters, Barbra Woods, Marlene Thomas and Darlene Estes, all of Cincinnati.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2006 at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on November 25, also at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Peach Grove Cemetery, Pendleton County.

Janet Lee Combs, 51, of Newport, Ky., passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at the St. Luke East Hospital in Ft. Thomas, Ky. She was a homemaker and a member of the Garrard Street Church of Christ of Covington.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Combs; a daughter, Marie Elizabeth Schweinzger of Ft. Hood, Texas; brothers, Steven Curtis, Bruce Curtis, Danny Curtis and Glenn Curtis, all of Silver Grove, and John Curtis of Grants Lick; sisters, Beverly Raleigh of Newport, Kathy Martin of Dayton, Ky., and JoAnn McDuffy of Hamilton, Ohio; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 21 from 9 a.m. to noon, time of funeral service at Cooper Funeral Home, Grants Lick, Ky. Interment will take place at the Peach Grove Cemetery, Peach Grove, Ky.
