Alvin B. Moore, 81, California

Alvin B. Moore, 81, of California, Ky., passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at St. Luke East Hospice in Ft. Thomas, Ky. He was a retired carpenter, having worked 42 years with Frank Messer Construction, and was also a farmer. He was a lifetime member of the Carthage United Methodist Church and was a United States Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Peggy White Moore of California; sons, Bruce Moore of California and Burt Moore of Taylor Mill; a daughter, Beverly Jo Seibert of Ft. Thomas; sisters, Florence Kinney of Edgewood and Lena Short of California; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, January 12 at Carthage United Methodist Church. Interment took place at the Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Carthage, Ky., under the direction of Alexandria Funeral Home.

 

Aline M. Futscher, 73, Alexandria

Aline M. Futscher, 73, of Alexandria, Ky., passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2007 at the Hospice of Cincinnati. She was a housewife and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Alexandria. She was the past president of St. Mary PTC, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Campbell County VFW Post 3205, a member of the Red Hat Society, Pendleton Country Club and a member of the founding committee for the St. Mary Boosters and the bereavement committee. A brother, Albert Schneider, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Alex Futscher of Alexandria; sons, Alan Futscher of Montgomery, Ohio, Dave Futscher of Stamping Ground, Ky., Tom Futscher of Wilder and Tom Futscher of Alexandria; a daughter, Nancy Doller of Kansas City, Missouri; a sister, Imogene Enzweiler of Florence, and Mildred Burdow of Saginaw, Mich.; a brother, Frank Schneider of Alexandria; and 13 grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, January 15 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Alexandria. Interment took place in the St. Mary Cemetery.

Margaret Clift, 86, Alexandria

Margaret Clift, 86, of Alexandria, Ky., passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2007 at the River Valley Nursing Home in Butler, Ky. She was a housewife. A daughter, Donna Clift, preceded her in death in 1941. Another daughter, Linda Clift, also preceded her in 1952, as well as a sister, Hazel Runge in 1990.

Survivors include her husband, Nolan "Bud" Clift of Alexandria; daughters, Kathy Sherrill, Sandra Decker and Tina Roseberry, all of Alexandria, and Mindie Redden of Butler; a sister, Helen Galloway of Kennesaw, Ga.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, January 13 at Alexandria Funeral Home. Interment took place in the Alexandria Cemetery.
