
Esther Reynolds, 87, Ft. Thomas
Esther Moreland Reynolds, 87, of Ft. Thomas, formerly of Alexandria, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2007, at the Hospice of the Bluegrass Care Center of Northern Kentucky in Ft. Thomas. She was born August 6, 1920 in Pendleton County, and was the daughter of the late Verne and Lillian Sine Moreland.
Her husband of 50 years, Harold Reynolds, preceded her in death on June 19, 1990. To-gether Harold and Esther owned and operated Moreland's Inn in Sun Valley for 30 years and Harold's Place in Falmouth for five years.
She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Alexandria.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Verne (Buster) Moreland and her infant sister, Muriel Moreland.
She is survived by her three daughters: Beverly Jennings of Alexandria, Connie Flood of Cold Spring, and Jennifer Young of Ft. Mitchell; her three sons: Bill Reynolds of Augusta, Ky., Tim Reynolds of Alexandria, and Richard Reynolds of Union, Ky.; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and one brother, Leroy Moreland of Coral Springs, Florida.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon Monday, December 31, 2007, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 8246 East Main Street, Alexandria, with Rev. James B. Egbers officiating. The pallbearers will be Kenneth Jennings, Christopher Jennings, Jeffrey Flood, Gary Flood, Todd Reynolds, and Donald Reynolds. The visitation will be from 10 a.m.-noon preceding the service at the church. Interment will take place in St. Mary Cemetery, Alexandria.

Roberta Persinger, 80, Brooksville
Roberta Persinger, 80, of Brooksville passed away Friday, December 21, 2007 at Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington, Ky. She was born in Pendleton County, Ky., on January 4, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Heber and Frances Florence Fields. She was a member of the Neave United Methodist Church and was a Kentucky Colonel.
Survivors include her husband, Russell Persinger; a daughter, Linda (Gene) Hacker of Lexington; four stepsons, Eddie (Cheryl) Persinger and Daryl Persinger of Milford, Ky.; Steve (Linda) Persinger of Cynthiana; and Larry Persinger of Louisville, Ky. Also surviving is a granddaughter, Kristi Hacker of Lexington and a great-granddaughter, Kyan Elijah Hall of Lexington. She is also survived by her brother, Winsol Fields of Falmouth.
Services were held Wednesday, December 26 at Moore and Parker Funeral Home, Brooksville. Burial was held at Neave Cemetery in Bracken County.
