David Bradford, 52, Foster

David Alvin Bradford, 52, of Foster, Ky., passed away on Friday, March 26, 2004 at the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Ohio. Born on November 30, 1951, the son of the late Alvin Wilson Bradford and Ruth Rita Smith Bradford. he was a carpenter, and a member of Pendleton County Sportsman’s Club.
Survivors include: son, Gary (Jennifer) Bradford, Foster, Ky., one grandson, David Wilson Bradford, sisters, Patty Johnson, Foster, Ky., Linda Youngman, Germantown, Ky., Rita Wenz, Augusta, Ky., brother Rob Bradford, Foster, Ky., several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at Moore and Parker Funeral Home, Brooksville, Ky.
Interment will take place in the Lenoxburg Cemetery, Foster, Ky.
Memorials are suggested to Pendleton County Sportsman’s Club.

Frances Auchter, 88, Butler

Frances M. Auchter, 88, of Butler, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at the River Valley Nursing Home in Butler, Ky., born on June 17, 1915 in Pendleton County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late William and Pearl LaFollette Klaber, she married Willard Auchter and her dear husband preceded her in death on November 14, 1985.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Grants Lick Baptist Church, where she was active in the Jolly Elders. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandsons: Mike and Mark Eshman; her granddaughter, Valeria Auchter; brothers, Charles Klaber, Elbert Klaber, and Willie Klaber, sister, Katherine Wolfe.
Survivors include; son, Carl Auchter, Mentor, Ky., daughters, Carolyn Eshman, Cold Spring, Ky., Alberta Kemplin, Lexington, Ky., five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one sister, Florence Wolfe, Butler, Ky.
Services were held on Saturday, March 27, 2004, at the Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, Ky., Serving as pallbearers were David Kemplin, Philip Kemplin, John Rose-berry, Tony Auchter, Jason Tuemler, and Charles Klaber. The honorary pallbearers were Bill Klaber, Terry Wolfe, Asa Wolfe, Jim Klaber, and Ralph Klaber.
Interment took place in the Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth, Ky.

James Richardson, 20, Falmouth

James Michael Richardson, 20, of Falmouth, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2004 from injuries sustained in an auto accident. James was born on May 21, 1983 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of John and Stella Richardson, both of Falmouth, Ky., grandchild of the late Tom and Erma Adams and Ben and Francis Richardson.
Survivors include: six sisters, Rena Jenkins, Jannie Richardson, both of Falmouth, Ky., Tina Perkins Hoskins, California, Ky., Tammy Perkins Turner, Newport, Ky., Tabitha Roark, Tonya Perkins Lewin, Heather Roark all of Covington, Ky., brother, John H. Richardson, Jr., six nephews and seven nieces, six aunts and four uncles, seventeen cousins, step brother, Dakota Rice, step sisters, Branna Rice, Hanna Rice all of Falmouth, Ky.
Services were held on Thursday, March 25, 2004 at Peoples Funeral Home, Falmouth, Ky.
Interment took place in the Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth, Ky.

James Skelton, Sr., 57, Demossville

James Braden Skelton, Sr., 57, of Demossville, Ky., passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at the St. Luke Hospital West in Florence, Ky. Born on August 10, 1946 in Loma Linda, California, he was a son of the late Roland Barry and Willie Irene Sapp Skelton, Sr. He graduated from Beaumont Union High School in California and he graduated from Missouri Valley College with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Following his undergraduate studies, he earned a Masters Degree in Chemistry from Wichita State University. He married Traci J. (Laubach) Skelton on October 16, 1993, and his dear wife survives his passing. Early in his professional career, James worked as a chemist for Vulcan Materials in Wichita, Kansas. Next, he worked in distribution with Hydrite Chemical in Wisconsin. He continued progressing in management when he accepted a position in distribution with Harcros Chemicals in Kansas City, Kansas. Ellis and Everard, out of London, England, approached James with the opportunity to be President of one of their subsidiaries, HVC Chemical in Cincinnati, Ohio, and he accepted the challenge. After the sale of their company, he returned to Harcros Chemicals in 2003 as Vice President of Distribution and General Manager.
He was a member of the North American Chemical Distrib-utors (NACD). James loved the outdoors-hiking, fishing, hunting, gardening, riding his tractor, and taking long walks with his dogs. He enjoyed woodworking and playing games on his X Box.
In addition to his wife of 10 years, Traci J. (Laubach) Skelton, he leaves three children: Lara M. Batten, Arlington, Texas, Greg (Andrea) Skelton, and James Braden (Sarah) Skelton, Jr., both of Wichita, Kansas, six grandchildren, Melissa Skelton, Brianna Batten, Macey Skelton, Hunter Skelton, Ashley Batten and Tyler Skelton; his sister, Janie (Mike) Hall, Monument, Colo., brother, Roland B. (Kay) Skelton, Jr., Scottsdale, Ariz., mother and father-in-law, Hugh and Evelyn Hendrickson, Toronto, Kansas, and his father-in-law, Loren Laubach, Florence, Ky., and his beloved canines, Ollie, Josie and Luther.
Services were held on Sunday, March 28, 2004, at the Falmouth United Methodist Church, with Rev. Donna Jones officiating. The active pallbearers were Greg Skelton, Jim Skelton, Jr., Roland Skelton, Jr., Mike Hall, Randy Hall, Doug Hall, Rob Shelley, and Milt Watkins. The honorary pallbearers were John Engel, Bob Bower, Kevin Mirner, Smokey Skyrmes, Greg Brown and David Goode. Music was shared by Debra Holland on the organ. Several family members and friends shared personal stories, tributes, and memories during the service. At the conclusion of the service there was a time of reflection as, “The Long and Winding Road” by the Beatles was played.

James William Cloe, 82, Berry

James William Cloe, 82, of Berry, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2004, upon arrival at the Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana, after suffering an apparent heart attack. Born on September 13, 1921 in Harrison County, Ky., he was the son of the late Harry and Virgie Dunn Cloe. He married Mabel Huffman Cloe on December 27, 1941 and his dear wife survives his passing, he graduated from the Berry School, retired from Grede Permacast and owned the Wampanoag Guernsey Farm in Harrison County. He was a member of the Kentucky Guernsey Breeders Association.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Winifred Moore and Georgina Webber.
In addition to his wife of 62 years, Mabel Huffman Cloe, he leaves one daughter, Jane Switzer, Cynthiana, two sons, James Allen (Triger) Cloe, Cynthiana, Randall (Susan) Cloe, Berry., five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, one sister, Iona Link, Berry, one brother, Lovell Cloe, Berry.
Services were held on Friday, March 26, 2004, at the Woodhead Funeral Home, Berry, with Bro. Gordon McDowell officiating. Music was shared by Anna Frances and Coolidge Cason.
Serving as pallbearers were Eddie Million, Coots Hollar, Gary “B” Moore, Randy Gill, Gerald Ludwig, Steven Terhune, and Doug Sargent. The honorary pallbearers were Adrian Faulkner, Will Browning, Daniel Miracle, James Paul Switzer, Marty Ritchie, and Mike Taylor.
Interment took place in the Pythian Grove Cemetery, Berry.
Memorials are suggested to the Colemansville Christian Church, Harrison County.

 

Mary Binkley, 81, Taylor Mill

Mary Evelyn Caldwell Binkley, 81, of Taylor Mill, formerly of Pendleton County, passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2004 ath the Jewish Hospital, Kenwood, Cincinnati. She was born on January 10, 1923, daughter of the late Lawrence and Edith Brann Caldwell of Gardnersville, Ky. She was a homemaker and a volunteer with St. Luke Hospital West, Florence, Ky. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Binkley in 1987 and her brother Jack L. Caldwell in 1992.
Survivors include: daughter Jeanne (Gary) Coyle, Taylor Mill, two grandchildren, Jennifer and Joey, sisters, Eula LaFollette, Piner, Faye LaFollette, Jean Colvin, both of Falmouth, Ky., Edna Thornberry, Crittenden.
Services were held on Thursday, March 25, 2004 at A.C. Dobbing Funeral Home, Ft. Thomas, Ky., officiated by, Rev. Casey Cockerham, Randy Umstead and Mary Lee Kelly.
Pallbearers were Jim LaFollette, Jerry Colvin, Dexter LaFollette, Brian Jones, Eddie Thornberry and Neil LaFrambroise.
Interment took place in the Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate, Ky.
