Helen Workman Free, 92, Brooksville

Helen Workman Free, 92, of Brooksville, Ky. passed away Thursday, October 16, 2008. She was born on December 5, 1915 to the late Tom and Katherine Hesler Workman.
She was a member of the Triumph Christian Church.
Preceding her in death, in additon to her parents, were husband, Delbert Free; brothers, Homer Workman, and George Workman; sisters, Oraine Strausbaugh, Lucille Bobo, Mae Wallingford, Dicie Hutchinson, Patsy Lemons, and Jean Crawford; and three grandchildren.
Surviving are daughters, Madge (Gilbert) Todd of Flemingsburg, Pat (John) Marshall of Georgetown, Carolyn (Bronson) Moorhead, Kay (Jerry) Fegan and Lana Jo Free all of Brooksville; sons, Jimmy (Shirley) Free of Maysville, LeRoy (JoAnn) Free, Bill Free, Bobby (Brenda) Free, Steve (Kathy) Free of Brooksville, and Johnny Ray (Jenny) Free all of Brooksville; 23 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Services were held on Monday at Moore & Parker Funeral Home.
Interment took place at the Brooksville Cemetery.

Shirley Ireland, 53

Shirley Ireland, 53, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2008.
She was born on October 1, 1955 to the late Jack Conley and Mae Vires Miller of Kenton Co, Ky.
She married Robert Ireland on June 12, 2004, and her husband survives her passing.
Preceding her in death was a son, Charles Sumner, and a sister, Debbie Conley.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are son Rick (Larissa) Sumner; grandchildren, Brook-lyn and Erick Sumner; brothers, Bobby Conley of Grant Co., Billy Conley of Kenton Co., and Charles Conley of Hamilton Co., Ohio.

Helen Dorothy Braun, 80, Crestview

Helen Dorothy Braun, 80, of Crestview, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood.
She was a homemaker, loved working on her farm which was located in Cold Spring, loved to read and was a history buff.
Preceding her in death in 1993 was her husband William Braun Sr.
Surviving are sons, Martin Braun of Brooksville, William Braun, Jr. of Powersville, Edward BraunÊof Crossville, Tenn. and Raymond Braun of DeMossville; brothers, Art SchoulthiesÊof Highland Heights, and Wirt Schoulthies of Newport; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held Sunday October 19, 2008 at the Alexandria Funeral Home.
Interment took place at Johns Hill Cemetery in Highland Heights.

Edwin L. Schultz, 86, Melbourne

Edwin L. Schultz, 86, of Melbourne, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2008, at Carmel Manor Nursing Home in Fort Thomas.
He was born the son of the late Leonard Schultz and Anna (Gunkel) Schultz.
He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was the former owner\operator of E & J. Excavating of Melbourne. He was a member of the Campbell County VFW Post 3205 Alexandria and the Holy Name Society of St. Philip Church Melbourne.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents, were his wife, Agnes Kneuhl Schultz, great-grandchildren, Jacob Ricardson and Corey Richardson.
Surviving him are daughters,
Ruth (Schultz) Hessling of Burlington, Marilyn (Schultz) Kramer and Carol (Schultz) Short, both of Melbourne; son, Jim Schultz of Melbourne; sisters, Anna Mae (Schultz) Gosney and Adela (Schultz) Kramer both of Alexandria, and Freida (Schultz) Hartig of Melbourne; brothers, Herbert Schultz of Melbourne, and Leonard Schultz of Alexandria; twelve grandchildren and twenty -four great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, October 13 at Saint Philip Church with Father Michael Barth officiating. Interment took place at Grand View Cemetery in Mentor. Alexandria Funeral Home served the family.

Marcella Kelly Berger, 78, Wacovia, Minn.

Marcella Kelly Berger, 78, of Wacovia, Minn., formerly of Pendleton County, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2008 at Good Samaritan Rehabilition Center.
She was born in Butler, on November 13, 1929, the daughter of the late Ernest and Julia Kelly.
She was a 1948 graduate of the Butler High School.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents was her husband Fred Berger.
Surviving are son, Mike Berger of Minnesota; brothers, Harold Kelly of Falmouth and Donald Kelly of Cincinnati; and sister, Darlene Hauser of Cincinnati.
Services were held on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at St. Johns Church in Cincinnati Ohio.
Internment was at St. Johns Cemetery.
