The Falmouth Outlook is the record newspaper for Pendleton County, Kentucky. We are a weekly paper that was founded in June of 1907 by Mr. Warren J. Shonert Sr. with only six subscribers. Today the newspaper has grown to a circulation of almost 4,000 subscribers, including our newsstands sales which reach all the way to Wilder, Kentucky, Alexandria, and Cold Spring to the north and south we have newsstands sales as far as Cynthiana, Kentucky.

The Falmouth Outlook is published every Tuesday and is delivered through the mail to the homes in Pendleton County and surrounding areas. There are 4,013 printed each week. Another publication we have that helps to cover the entire county and areas adjoining our county is The Shopper's Outlook, a six-column format free shopper that is also published on Tuesday and is mailed to boxholders that do not subscribe to the newspaper in Pendleton County. Together our two publications have total saturation of the county.
There are 9,060 copies of the shopper printed each week.

The newspaper is located at 210 Main Street in the town of Falmouth, the county seat of Pendleton. Our newspaper has withstood floods, tornadoes, and other tough times since the paper's birth. The town of Falmouth has a population of around 2,500 and the county has a population of around 14,000. We are located approximately 38 miles south of Cincinnati on U.S. 27 and approximately 42 miles north of Lexington, Kentucky.

The Shonert family sold the weekly newspaper to the Delphos Herald Inc. in January of 1986.

Our newspaper remains the eyes and ears of Pendleton County. Reporting the births, marriages, court records, school news, church news, and other happenings making history in our county. Monthly meetings of the city and county governments are covered in the paper as well as school board news and other club and organization meetings.

Our office is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The newspaper has produced a history books of the county a couple of years ago called The Forks of the Licking, which copies are still available for sale to the public at a cost of $21.95 plus shipping of $3.95 per book.
