FAITH & VALUES

December 2, 2025

(Due to early press for the previous week’s edition, some churches may include two articles.)

Butler Christ Community

(11/25) • Greetings friends. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

You know the old saying, "Don’t sweat the small stuff?" That’s exactly the way Christians should look at life. Satan tries everything to try to trip you up and attack you, don’t let him make you sweat. God is willing to take care of you if you let Him.

Sunday the 30th we decorated the church for the Advent season following service.

We were happy to formally welcome Elizabeth and William, and their three sweet children into our church membership.

The ladies will have their Christmas party on Saturday, December 6 at 1 p.m. at Brenda’s home.

Boys lock in is set for December 12 and then the children’s play will be on the 14th.

Have a wonderful holiday and May God bless you all!

(12/02) • Greetings friends, Advent has begun. How are you feeling about the upcoming holiday season? Anxious, excited, dreading it, or looking forward to celebrating the real reason for this season?

The church looks very festive and ready for the Advent season after members hung the greens on Sunday.

The Advent starts with hope as Jim and Carol read and light the first Advent candle.

The ladies will have their Christmas party at Brenda’s on Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Christmas play will be the 14.

Boys lock in is the 12.

Please keep all our sick and hurting in your prayers and rejoice with us for our many praises!

Have Hope in your heart as you begin this Advent.

New Life Wesleyan

(11/25) • Thanksgiving is here. What are you thankful for?

Try from this day forward to be thankful daily, 365 days of the year.

God is so good and He gives us so much to be thankful for.

At New Life Wesleyan Church in Falmouth, we are seeing God move in such amazing ways. He’s with us and with God ALL things are possible.

Stop by and be thankful with us.

Have a great week.

(12/02) • Sunday was the lighting of the first Advent candle of Hope. We were thankful for Trevor Lee Colemire lighting this for us. Pastor's message on hope, based in the 23rd Psalm, was powerful and blessed our hearts. Each week we will light a candle in our Advent wreath.

Thanks to volunteers Sunday evening, our church is decorated and our beautiful new tree is in place. You are welcome to stop by during the month of December to worship with us.

God bless you and keep you in His Hands this week.

(11/25) • What a beautiful Lord’s Day it was as we heard Bro. Kevin proclaim God’s Word. “Brand New Me” was the theme using Ephesians 2:6-7 as text. When God gets involved, He knows how to make things new. God has a plan for you.

Many thanks to all who participated in the preparation of food for our take-outs and for the evening Thanksgiving meal.  We pray all have a blessed Thanksgiving.

(12/02) • This was our Youth Sunday as they led the service. Alex Andrews and Easton Browning both delivered the message of the hour. Alex spoke of the dangers of the "tongue" as we need to guard it fiercely. Easton reminded us that our life includes many hardships, but Jesus knows our life's struggles and is always there to help. We are proud of our youth as they serve.

Pleasant Ridge Baptist

(11/25) • Bro. Mark’s message was from Hebrews 11:1.

What is Faith? How strong is yours? Faith is he substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Faith is easy and hard. Easy faith is the stories we have read in the Bible and we know the outcome. We know that happens to Moses, Noah, Sarah and others. They kept their faith.  Hard faith is trying to understand what others are going through unless we have been through that too. By faith and believing in God we know that all things, the world and stars in fact were made at God’s command and they were all made from things that cannot be seen. Without faith it is impossible to please God.  For he that cometh to God must believe that he is and diligently seek him.

(12/02) • Bro. Mark’s message was from Matthew 8:23-37.

What questions did Jesus ask? Has he ever asked for our opinion? He is knowledge and understanding. A terrible storm came up and Jesus was asleep. The disciples woke him shouting save us. Jesus answered, why are you so frightened? O’ you men of little faith. Jesus rebuked the wind and waves, then all was calm. What manner of man is this, even the winds and the sea obey him.

How is your spiritual relationship with God?  Do you set aside time daily to talk and pray with your Heavenly Father? God is all around the world. He’s at work every day in our life.

Trinity Southern Baptist

(11/25) • This past Sunday was a day of celebration at Trinity Southern Baptist Church, with over 340 people in attendance. The highlight of the service was witnessing seven individuals publicly declare their faith through baptism, bringing our total baptisms this year to 41. It was a powerful reminder of God’s work in our community and the joy of lives being transformed.

As we move into Thanksgiving week, our church family is excited to serve our neighbors through our annual outreach. If you or someone you know is in need of a free meal, please visit tsbcfalmouth.com/thanksgiving for details.

Looking ahead, we invite everyone to join us this Sunday for “Sit With Me Sunday” as we launch a brand‑new Christmas series titled Grandma Got Ran Over by Grace. It promises to be a creative, hope‑filled journey into the season of joy.

(12/02) • What an incredible Thanksgiving week we experienced together as a church family! Partnering with Hope Ministries, we were blessed to provide 100 boxes of meals to the PC Resource Center Food Pantry, ensuring that local families had food on their tables. On Thanksgiving Day itself, our team served an amazing 659 meals, sharing not only food but also the love and joy of Christ with our community.

As we celebrated gratitude, we also launched our brand‑new Christmas series, “Grandma Got Ran Over by Grace.” This creative and joy‑filled series is already reminding us that God’s grace meets us in unexpected ways.

And the excitement continues! Mark your calendars for Sunday, December 7th at 6:30 p.m. when our Kids on the Move Christmas Play takes the stage. It will be a night of laughter, worship, and celebration as our children lead us into the Christmas season.
