We had a good crowd for Mother’s Day and it was a gorgeous day. I hope you enjoyed it with your families.
Scripture was First Samuel 3-28, "A True Mother." The sweet story of Hannah. God blessed her richly with a son and she named him Samuel and honored her promise to God to give him back to serve Him. If you haven’t read the story you are missing out. Children are a gift from God and they are our responsibility. All the moms were given a beautiful flower to take home and plant.
Please remember the families of Nancy Back and Pat Webster.

Greetings friends. Our hope is in the Lord!
Did you know that salvation is for everyone? Not just Jews, not just Gentiles, not just Catholic, not just Baptist, it’s for everyone! Jesus showed no favorites, He healed, loved, cared for, and died to save all of us. There is no roadblocks or barriers between us. God loves us all. So we should love everyone.
Our church will be participating in the Butler Memorial Day parade with the VBS group.
VBS will be held June 9-12 at the Butler Baptist Church from 6-8:30 p.m. June 12 will be family night.
Please pray with us for all those mentioned on the prayer list: Mary Ann, Johnny Bruin, Hudson family, Ben Schehr, Betty, all those affected by the storms, Freida, Molly and Gaylon, Carolyn, and all those we don’t know.
God bless you all!

Sunday, we celebrated Mother’s Day; some have kids, some have loved others as their own, all have had mom figures in their lives. During the message we studied Rahab: Mother of Boaz, she was a significant part of God’s plan. God has plans for all of us, all we must do is have faith and a build a relationship with Him.
The children’s message was from Mark 3 and in verse 35 it says, “Whoever does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.”
Kip Gregg read Proverbs 31:27-30, followed by a wonderful presentation of how some of the boys and girls answered questions asked to them about their moms.
All the moms were gifted a begonia from the church, and Ardonna Brown, oldest; Bailey Koeninger, youngest child in the service; Reta Wright, most children and grandchildren that have participated in Bible Drill were gifted a hanging basket.
Please join us in prayer for all the kids that are finishing out the school year; whether they are headed into the workforce, college life, high school, or to 3rd grade in the fall. We’ve all been there, and change can be scary!
