Highland Heights — William “Bill” Raymond Courtney, 79, of Highland Heights, formerly of Pendleton County, passed away Monday, June 9, 2025, at his home.
He was born in Falmouth, on October 16, 1945, son of the late Herman and Ruth Chalfant Courtney.
Bill worked for over 25 years as a plant manager at Midwest Bottle Gas, then at Kincaid Lake State Park. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church and the Assistant Chief of the Northern Pendleton Fire Department.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were his brother, Danny Courtney; and daughter, Rhonda Archibald.
Surviving him are his wife, of 33 years, Linda Biddle Courtney; daughters, Debbie (Mike) Ball, Tammy (Randy) Nordheim; sister, Vickie (David) Cooper; sister-in-law, Bettie Courtney; grandchildren, Kailey (Todd) Kelsch, Dylan (Hayley) Archibald, Shaylynn Ball, Caymyn Ball, John Morgen (Molly) Nordheim, Andrew (Erin) Nordheim, Quenten Nordheim; great-grandchildren, Archer, Theo and Baker Kelsch, Ella and Easton Nordheim.
Services were held Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Peoples Funeral Home, in Butler.
Burial took place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
