Latonia — Virgil Hurst, 87, of Latonia, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hopsice Center on June 20, 2025.
He was born in Barbourville, on June 25, 1937, son of the late Sollie and Ora Middleton Hurst.
Virgil worked for the Latonia Plating Company for 30 years and was a member of the Latonia Full Gospel – Pentecostal Church.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were his wife, Carol Hurst; brothers, Paul, John Raymond, Sollie “Junior” Hurst; sisters, Betty Lou Spegal, Coleen Phillips and Evelyn Cooper.
Surviving him are his daughters, Kimberly Freed, Vicki (Rick) Bishop, Davina (Eric) Leedy; brothers, Andrew, George Hurst; sister, Anna Mae Hurst; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 27, 2025, from 12 to 2:00 pm, at Peoples Funeral Home, in Butler. Funeral service will immediately follow, also at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Butler Cemetery.
