James ‘Jim’ Graydon Hamilton, 88

Falmouth — James “Jim” Graydon Hamilton, 88, of Falmouth, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026, at his home.

He was born in Falmouth, on June 13, 1937, son of the late Abe and Clara Cookendorfer Hamilton.

James was a veteran of the United States Navy, member of the Chapel of Praise Church and was the owner and operator of the Deluxe Dry Cleaners for over 25 years.

In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his son, Abram (Michelle) Hamilton; and sister, Doris Jean Hess.

Survivors include his wife, Alta Craddock Hamilton; son, Trent Hamilton; daughter, Tammy (the late Andrew) Tipton, Tonda (Steve) Kavanaugh; sisters, Lois Hicks, Geneva Caldwell; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will took place at Cookendorfer Family Cemetery at Kincaid Lake State Park on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, with full military honors, under the direction of Peoples Funeral Home.
