Crittenden — Hazel Marie Goins, age 87, of Crittenden, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2025. Born at home, under the care of a midwife, in Corbin, Kentucky on January 7, 1938.
Hazel was preceded in death by parents, James and Nora Hensley (nee Golden); husband, Omer Goins; and grandson, Jimmy Petrey.
She is survived by children; Cecil (Patty Ballinger) Goins, Kathy (Allen) Woodring, Cindy (Kelly) Dennie; sister, Nora June Totten; grandchildren, Nathan Goins, Joshua Dusing, Greg Woodring, Holly (Ryan) DuBois, Zack Ballinger, Caleb Ballinger; along with a host of family and friends who will miss her dearly.
Marie had a vibrant spirit and enjoyed many activities, including playing bingo, visiting casinos, and spending treasured time with her family and friends.
In memory of Hazel, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Kidney Foundation.
Interment was at Turner Ridge Cemetery, alongside her husband.
