Betty June Gosney, 98

Betty June Gosney, 98, of Alexandria, KY passed away Jan. 20 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Ft. Thomas. She was born in Butler, KY on Jun. 10, 1925, daughter of the late William Earl and Mary Elizabeth Dunnaway Gray. In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband Walter Boone Gosney; two brothers Rodney Gray and Dale Gray; and one sister Janice Miller.

Betty was a founding member of Christ’s Church at Eastside Park in Butler. She was also a former organist at the church and former Sunday School teacher. She retired from the IRS where she was a Tax Examiner. Betty was a member of Happy 100s and Senior Citizens Alexandria.

Survivors include her sons, Dennis Gosney and Daryll Gosney; daughter Kathy Jill Tucker; sisters Esther Barnwell and Doris Alma Rardin; five grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.

Visitation and funeral services were held on Jan. 26 at Christ’s Church of Eastside Park. 

Interment took place at Butler Cemetery.
