Pendleton Co. — Bessie Lee Lovelace, 94, Pendleton, passed away on March 27, 2026 peacefully in her home.
Bessie was a member of Gumlick Baptist Church, passionate about the Lord, and was known for her loving personality. Bessie was a devoted mother, wife, and grandma. She loved reading, going to church & visiting her grandchildren. She always put others ahead of herself. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Lovelace; sons, Greg Lovelace, Mike Lovelace; sisters, Ethel Webster, Edith Gastaur, Aleene Adams, Jewel Snedegar; brothers, Luther, Ray, Stanley, James, and Ambrose Adams.
She is survived by her son, Tom Lovelace; her grandchildren, Hunter Lovelace, Robbie Lovelace, Lydsie McCowan, Daniel Henry; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Peoples Funeral Home, in Butler.
Funeral service will follow immediately at 1 p.m., also at the funeral home.
Bessie’s final resting place will be in the Gumlick Cemetery.
