Allen set to have jersey retired Feb. 6

The most prolific scorer in Pendleton Wildcats basketball history is set to be immortalized on February 6 in Falmouth.

Dontaie Allen, the program's all-time leader in scoring, rebounding, blocked shots, and recipient of the 2019 Mr. Basketball award, will be honored at Pendleton County High School by having his iconic number 11 jersey raised to the rafters to join some of the greatest names in Wildcats history. The ceremony will take place as his alma mater takes on their longtime rival Harrison County.

Allen led Pendleton County to three district championships and a regional semifinal appearance during his junior season. In 2018, he broke a near 35-year-old record when he surpassed Talbert Turner Jr. in becoming the program's all-time leading scorer. Allen totaled 3,255 points and that currently ranks 11th all time in state history.

Allen signed with the University of Kentucky and played for the Wildcats from 2020-22. Allen would go onto transfer twice, also playing for Western Kentucky University before finishing his collegiate career at the University of Wyoming in 2025.
