FAITH & VALUES

October 14, 2025

Butler Christ Community

Greetings friends. It was our great pleasure to welcome back to the pulpit our dear friend Ron Redden and Judy. As usual and to our delight, Ron shared stories and Bible truths about our relationship with the Lord.

There will be no Bible study this Wednesday and no ladies meeting on Friday.

We are gearing up for our Christmas auction to be held November 8 here in our Fellowship Hall. We hope you are planning to attend. It’s so much fun!

Please remember our sick and hurting and pray with us for all of them. Also rejoice with us for the many praises that were given.

May God bless you in every need this week. Hope to see you at 11 a.m. next Sunday.

Our last service of 2025 will be Oct. 26, at 2 p.m. There will be a meal of soup and sandwiches after the service that day.

Everyone is welcome to the little church on the hill.

Church services will resume in spring of 2026.

New Life Wesleyan

Our Sunday morning service wasn’t a normal-as-usual service as we witnessed the wedding of Erin Penick and Jeff Dupps during morning worship. It was truly a beautiful sight with their seven children all dressed in white and blue to match mommy and daddy. The sanctuary was full with family and friends and church members. Afterward, a pot luck meal was enjoyed by all.

God is good at New Life Wesleyan Church and all around us!

Beautiful weather makes one delight in worshiping with fellow Christians.

Bro. Kevin used Psalm 34:8 and John 6:35 as text telling us to “taste” our faith. Tasting is trying; is an experience; and tasting produces an appetite for God’s Word. To understand the scripture, you must try. Remember, God offers quality.

Ladies Bible study is Wednesday, October 15, 6:30 p.m.

“Man Camp” at Camp Northward is October 17-18.

Sunday, October 26 at 5 - 8 p.m. is our “Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat” at church. Come share in the fun.

Prayer concerns include Charles Klaber, Jesse Browning, Jeanine Cox, Shawn Cook, Robert Larimore, JoAnn Freene, Steve McClanahan Sr., Wendy Barker, Paige Figgins, Rita Wright, Pete Hargett, Anna Cummins, Mark Branham, Dian Caldwell, A.J. Wright, shut-ins, cancer issues, our nation and its military.

Our sympathy to the loved ones of Bro. Jim Flaugher.

Bro. Mark’s message was from Matthew 5:1-14.

"Blessed are humble men are fortunate for the Kingdom of Heaven is given to them." Those who mourn shall be comforted. The meek and lowly have the whole wide world. Those who are just and good shall be satisfied. You shall be shown mercy if your heart is pure, you will see God. Happy are those who strive for peace. A tremendous reward awaits you up in Heaven. You are the world’s seasoning. If you lose your flavor, what will happen to the world? You are the world’s light, glowing in the night for all to see. Don’t hide your light, let it shine! Let your good deeds glow.

Trinity Southern Baptist

Sunday at Trinity Southern Baptist Church, we celebrated another powerful move of God.

With hearts full of gratitude, we rejoiced as one more soul publicly declared their faith through baptism—our 33rd baptism of the year! Each one is a testimony of God’s saving grace, and we give Him all the glory.

We also launched our brand-new sermon series, “Hope for Northern KY,” a timely message for our community and region. Our burden for the lost continues to grow, and we believe God is calling us to be a light in Pendleton County and beyond.

From worship to the Word, Sunday’s service reminded us that revival starts with repentance, and hope begins when we embrace God’s heart for the hurting.

If you missed it, we invite you to join us next Sunday at 9:00 AM or 11:30 AM, with Sunday School at 10:15 AM. There’s room for you—and hope waiting for you.

The Greatest Command – “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.” Mark 12:30.

Our Sunday school lesson started out by saying, No one has to ask us about the things we love most. We talk about them at length…How obvious is your love for God and others?

During the worship service Richard Osterlind led the children’s message followed by Brystal Smith-Beighle reading Psalm 119:9-16, and the Praise Team sang "Speak the Word."

Our message was from Gideon, Reggie Angell, he has been a Gideon for eight years. Reggie did a wonderful job expressing how we can all help spread the Word. Through Prayer, Pennies & Power, it takes pray so that the Holy Spirit is with each Gideon and Bible they hand out; it takes pennies to print and supply the Bibles and it takes people power to make sure the good news is spread to everyone.
