Kansas — Douglas William Konkright, 66, formerly of Campbell County KY, passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early hours, Thursday, July 10, 2025.
Douglas was a resident of Kansas since 2017. Douglas was well known to friends and family as a loving husband, a doting father and a spoiler of his grandchildren. He loved to work on cars and tinker in his garage. He was good with his hands and never met someone he didn’t call friend, or a problem he couldn’t fix with a bit of time and elbow grease.
Preceding him in death was his wife, of 30 years, Shellie Lee Konkright (Caddell).
Surviving him are his children, Jason Konkright, Jennifer Konkright, Tara Konkright, all current residents of Kansas; grandchildren, Blake Konkright, Ciara Konkright, Neveah McCarter, Serenity Belser, Jayden Konkright, Ariana Konkright, all residents of Kansas; siblings, Rednour, Kimberly Compton, Wanda Konkright, Anthony(Tony)Konkright, Timothy (Skeetsy) Konkright, Denny St.Clair JR and David St.Clair, all residents of KY.
A small candle light service was held in private by his children and grandchildren. Douglas will be greatly missed.
