Creature Feature runs twice monthly featuring some of the dogs available for adoption at the Pendleton County Animal Shelter.

A terrier mix, Axel is timid and scared of people at first. “This baby came to us completely shut down,” the shelter said. “He wouldn’t take treats, wouldn’t play with a toy, wouldn’t sleep on a bed, just the cold concrete floor. It was so sad but it took about a month for his true personality to come back. He still learning what a treat is but he loves toys, he’s housebroken, and loves to play outside.” Axel is about a year old and weighs in at 70 pounds.
