Six members of the Pendleton County boys golf team competed on August 26 at Cynthiana Country Club.
Leading the way for the Wildcats were Bryant Brown and Matthew Musk who each shot a round of 38. Micah Biddle produced a 49, Easton Verst shot a 51, Jaysob Roenker turned in a 54 and Brantley Brown rounded out the group with a 63.
"I was pleased with our outing against Harrison in our first match of the season. Seventh graders Easton Verst and Brantley Brown, pictured right, were able to play in their first high school match ever. I was excited to get them out there and get them some experience. Easton played pretty well in his first high school match firing a 51. Bryant Brown and Matthew Musk were able to shoot sub 40 despite fast and firm conditions at Cynthiana Country Club," said team head coach Clay Monroe.
Up next for the team will be a September 4 match against Campbell County at Hickory Sticks and on September 7 as they compete in the Tom Johnson Classic at Eagle Creek Golf Club.
