BUTLER — Under clear skies and shirtsleeve weather, the Pendleton County High School Wildcats ushered in a new era Friday night at the remodeled multi-purpose stadium at Sharp Middle School.
The new-look field with a number of major improvements was part of more than $12 million of renovations over the past year at the middle school.
After scoring first in a close first half, the Cats dropped the nonconference game to the Manchester (Ohio) Greyhounds 38-15. PC had plenty of support from the large crowed packed into the new, 750-person capacity home side bleachers. The visitors’ bleachers seat 500.
The new home bleachers and press box are on the opposite side of the field this year than they were last year.
