Boy Scouts of America Troop 109 of Falmouth is proud to announce that Jonathon T. Ketron has completed all the requirements for Scout’s highest award-- The Eagle Award. Only two out of 100 Scouts will complete the requirements and show themselves worthy of this award.
The PCHS fast pitch softball team will take a 5-4 record into today’s home game with traditional rival Bracken County. The Ladycats have won three of their last four games. In their last game PCHS had three triples, one by winning pitcher Charity Sharp and two by Kelley Wright. In the game against Bourbon County Charity Sharp and Mandy Butler each had a triple and Jennifer Johnting hit the Cats first fast pitch homerun.
Airforce Staff Sgt. John M. Figgins has arrived for duty at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey. Figgins, an air traffic controller is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Figgins of Rural Route #2 Foster.

Killer Khan outlasted nine other wrestlers to win the 10 man rumble at the USA Main Event Wrestling held at the high school. “Mr. Breeze” Michael Ray captured the Heavyweight Championship title during the match with Bad Business Brown.

Falmouth and Northern Harrison (Berry) County Fire Departments were called out Tuesday afternoon to fight a barn fire and help save the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Collier.
Emmerson (Doc) Beauchamp, who for nearly half a century was a central figure in Kentucky Democratic politics, passed away Wednesday night in Lexington.
Herbert Richard Fossitt of Bellevue, son of the late Henry C. Fossitt and Berta Herbert Fossitt was born in Bracken County January 12, 1916 and entered into rest Tuesday, March 30, 1971.
Mrs. Mayine E. Bossing, daughter of the late John P. and Sara Ryan Daugherty, was born in Pendleton County on November 20, 1891 and passed away on Sunday, April 11, 1971
Mr. and Mrs. Allen Dale Stahl of Demossville, are proud parents of a new daughter born March 5. She weighed in at seven pounds and eight and half ounces and will answer to the name of Amy Lynn. She is welcomed home by a sister Teresa Ann. Mrs. Stahl is the former Margaret Longworth. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Longworth of Demossville and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Stahl also of Demossville.

Miss Bessie Jane White, aged 74 years, who began her teaching career in a one room school house at Claryville, where she had taught for 10 years, passed away at the home of her nephew, R. Franklin Shaw on Saturday, April 6, 1946.
George Riley Sorrell, aged 81 years, a native of Butler, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Henry D. Shotwell, on Saturday, April 6, 1946.
Mrs. Annie Marie Ott Scheitz, daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Schocobie Ott, was born in Pendleton County on March 9, 1866, and departed this life on April 3, 1946.
George Sylvester Monroe, son of the late George and Jane McCullister Monroe, was born in Pendleton County on June 2, 1856 and passed away Sunday, April 7, 1946.
Michael Coleman, aged 77 years, retired farmer and stockman of Pendleton County, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 1946.
John O’Hara, aged 76 years, a native of Pendleton County, but a resident of Chicago, passed away at a Cook County hospital on Monday, April 1, 1946.

Lorenzo Doud, aged 79 years, passed away March 17 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Caldwell.
