10th Region Champs

    The Pendleton County High School cheerleading team competed in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA) Region 5 championship at Pulaski County High School on May 1. It was their first in-person competition since their national competition in February of 2020.

Smith signs to play baseball at KCU

    Pendleton County senior Alex Smith has officially signed his letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic career at Kentucky Christian University in Grayson, Kentucky.     Smith joins teammate and fellow senior Andrew Jordan as the class of 2021 college baseball signees.

Drive thru vaccine clinic being held

    Kentucky is less than 780,000 injections away from the state’s vaccine goal and there is a push to vaccinate more.     Southern Campbell County Fire Department is hoping to vaccinate 1,000 Kentucky residents on Saturday, May 8 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

    B & B logging was born in the early 1960’s when Rufus ‘Sonny” Bex struck out on his own at age 15  to work on logging crews throughout Oregon, Washington, and California.       After turning 20 he started his career as a pipeline welder which lasted until an injury in 1993.
